Student Accomodation Landlords to avoid

Going to study in London this September and am currently looking at student accomodations on uhomes since the ones owned by my uni are fully booked. I've seen some good looking ones owned by a company called Unite Students though when I looked at reviews elsewhere like on Google Maps and Trust Pilot and they're far more negative. Is Unite Students good? Are there any other companies I should avoid when looking at accomodations.

Advice for package stuck at ELTA sorting center for more than a week

Hi I'm a foreigner living in Thessaloniki and I ordered an item from overseas and according to ELTA's tracking its been stuck at M.D. ANATOLIKIS THESSALONIKIS since last Friday. Any advice on how to deal with this issue? Should I wait or can I visit the place and just pick it up from them directly? What has been your experience with ELTA in Thessaloniki?

How to make the most out of an Undergrad ID degree?

Title says it all. Im an incoming international student studying ID at university in the UK and reading through the posts in the subreddit, especially about what happened to USAID and layoffs in the wider Dev sector has gotten me really scared for the future. Should I abandon ship and switch degrees? Should I pursue a masters in ID or something else? What could I do during my three years as an undergrad to make sure I'll find something do after graduation?

Questions on KCL societies

Hi! I'm an international student who's going to study International Development at KCL next year and I've been looking through a few of them and have a few questions.

  1. Is there a maximum number of Societies you can join? How many would you reccomend an undergrad join?

  2. Since a few of them have weekly meetings will I be penalized if I don't show up?

  3. How important are KCL societies for career progression? I get that societies can help you form connections and lead you to internships but are KCL societies something you would put on your resume when applying for a job.

  4. What Societies would you guys reccomend especially for an IntDev student since I can't seem to find a dedicated IntDev Society. There's the PolEcon one but I'm not sure if I'll be allowed in.

I think thats all of them, any advice would be sincerly appreciated!
