How many species is too many when it comes to Seed Worlds?
Hello, I am currently building a seed world and as I continue to research what niches I will need filled to ensure a working biosphere and that the ecosystem does not immediately collapse, the more and more species I find that I keep having to add. I should note that most of these are not animals, but rather they are plants and fungi, e.g. I've found that I'll need Cyanobacteria and/or algae in the oceans and also fungi/moulds on land for decomposition to occur etc. I often see seed world having only around 3~5 species total when they are made, this might be in part because some of these projects choose to overlook what species of plants and fungi are present on the seed world in favour of just focusing on the animals, which is fair enough I guess. However, I can't help but feel like I am possible adding too many species to my own project. Which leads to why I wanted to ask this question, how many species would you say is “too many” to have on a seed world? particularly when it comes to the plant and fungi, should there only be a handful of species like with the animals or is it to have a slightly larger cast of non-animal lifeforms?

Footage of a cougar family in Northern Minnesota.
More footage from the Voyageurs Wolf Project camera traps of the Cougar/Puma family that has recently been sighted in Voyageurs National Park. I was going to post this to r/pumaconcolor, but they do not allow YouTube links for some reason, so I thought I would share this here instead, as I am sure some of you would probably like this.
Tiny species of parasitic wasp named after David Attenborough for his 100th birthday
theguardian.comHello, I am interested in what wild canines you have in your worlds. Are they the same species that are found in real life here on Earth or are they fictional ones? And if they are fictional, are they more grounded and the result of realistic natural evolutionary processes, or are they more fantastical and the result of magic e.g. something like an "ice wolf" or a beast that is the result of genetic engineering etc.
What are their social structures, diets and ecological roles/niches like? etc.
