My reverb setup is so goofy, introducing the reverb unicorn

So okay for context, I got a VERY good deal on the reverb G2 v2. It was £130 for the headset, 2 vr covers and 2 sets of controllers, plus all the original packaging.

I hated the tracking however... So I wanted an upgrade. So I bought a HTC Vive kit which also came with 4 controllers, running theme here. That was £100. For base stations and everything, cheaper than everything individual.

I use a controller for continuous calibration on my head, it's positioned further back on my head for balance, whist not being too back heavy.

The wands themselves are worse than the reverbs besides in terms of tracking and maybe durability. But it makes vrchat much much nicer.

The fourth wand is just propping the headteao up so you can see how it'd look on your head

So here is basically my hyper budget index setup. Half the features for 1/4 of the price :D

My thoughts on SlimeVR

Overall they're awesome trackers, I love how far they've come!

I'm saving up for a quest pro and I'm working on my quest 2 review as we speak!

Enjoy!

Guys, what headset would you reccomend? Quest 3, Pro or PSVR2?

I already own a rift cv1, quest one and two. I mainly play vrchat, and occasionally beatsaber and blades and sorcery. All on pcvr.

I'm mainly aiming for the psvr2, as the eye tracking will be nice, plan to bolt a web cam to the bottom, to give myself face tracking

However, I could also afford a used quest 3 and get myself a dedicated router for vr. And have good wireless play, instead of using link cable.

OR I could save up all the way to Christmas for a chance of affording a quest pro

Do y'all hold your controllers like this?

I think I'm gunna speed run wrist damage, but I found myself playing better holding it like this

VR on the ROG ally Z1e

While I know many people who try this, typically use a quest 2 or 3. But that has a very high resolution, so if I wanted to play vr on the ally, would a rift or a quest one be much better performance wise than a quest two or three? Or would I be better off getting a used gaming laptop. (The base ally goes for about £250 atm)

Is there any CFW which fixes most of the rift S's issues?

I'm considering buying one as I'm reviewing all the mainline oculus headsets in order, and I just wanna know if there is CFW which I can tell a lot of people to use so their rift s doesn't become a brick.

I know I know, it is a bad headset, but I'm pretty determined to get one

Rift CV1 is starting to die :c

ive owned the rift for the past year, but it did have previous 7 years of consistent usage from the previous owner, and now its finally gotten drift. The petentiometer on the left controller has gone kapoot, its register a direct movement to the left if you move the stick and let go

its a shame, the rift is my favourite headset ever, and i babyed the crap out of it, guess ill have to either figure out how to clean the controller or get a replacement, at least its cheap

For now im not vrless luckily, i can still hang with my friends using the quest 1 or two, just no blades and sorcery or beatsaber, quest link has too much delay for that

Rest in peace

EDIT: SHE F---KING LIVES BABYYYYYY, you just have to blow at the joy stick real hard, and like, 80% sure most of the time it'll work!!!! I'm gunna use the rift till it's dead
