I accidentally ripped a ceramic capacitor from the board on my PS3 while i was delidding the Cell
and now i Need a replacement but i can't find schematics for this console anywere and i don't have a donor board how can i find out what capacitor do i need to order to replace it?
Soooo... this happened
Thankfully i think i only hit a ground plane on the Cell
Do you think i can just resolder the capacitor or l'm looking at a trace repair work?
Hi i recently bought a PS3 fat CECHK04 in hopes of reselling it.
I installed CFW on it, and while i was doing that the fan was spinning unnaturally fast like it was LOUD!
So as soon as the CFW finished installing i turned It off waiting for the parts to arrive.
Today I fixed it gave it a good clean and repasted it but now the fan Is even louder and i barely reach the XMB before i get a overheating message and the console turns off by itself, I can't even check the temps with CFW.
I checked that the heatsink was installed correctly but there was nothing wrong.
At this point i don't know if this PS3 is worth my time anymore
Do you have any ideas?
Hi guys, my PS3 stopped reading DVD's wich for me Is an essential feature since i love collecting this format so i need a new laser, but all the listings i see online are non-original and of questionable quality, I've seen posts from people who bought these lasers and they died within a year or two. So from your experience Is It Better to buy these lasers or to buy a for parts PS3 with power issues that i found for the same price that SUPPOSEDLY has a working drive?
