With a second instalment in both the Horror and Western collections just around the corner, I thought it would be interesting to see which out of the 4 original anthology volumes are people’s favourites. Between the thrilling action of The Big Five Arrive, the silver age cheese of Gorilla World, the horrors bound within the pages of The Devil’s Doorway and the gun fighting adventures of The Hangman Never Loses, I just wanna see what exactly is the most popular of these collections.

For me it’s Western, for its recurring characters, fun frontier adventures and the interesting transition within the pages from fun little Wild West adventures, to true western grit.

It feels like Episode 4’s universe is the most vague and least explored of them all, with no real explanation as to what is was, who was running it and even why they were trying to keep Stuart and and the gang in there.

Whoever was in charge they clearly had some way of getting inside the heads of the universes occupants and not only effecting memory and perception but outright weaponising it by using a memory of The Matrix to try and keep them there. With what little we see of the actual universe at the end it seems to be some kind of white void of nothingness.

Nobody there seemed to be hurting or endangering the others and outside of Stuart they were giving them pretty cushy lives, so my guess is it’s some kind of sentient universe that got overjoyed having occupants, finally so tried to keep them there for all eternity as it was lonely.

If the real Sonic exists in-universe (which Ugly Sonic implies that he does), why did Paramount decide to cast a guy who’s whole schtick is just being an ugly version of Sonic, when they could have just got the actual guy for the movie?

It’s not like Ugly Sonic is a known actor or somebody popular who’d draw in more people, he’s a failed actor who got cut from his first leading role in reshoots. Why would Paramount hedge their bets for a new movie franchise on some nobody who’s not even Hollywood pretty when the guy who’s played the role for years is right there?

We see in both movies that it’s possible to get some of the way in, solo as seen by Alex and Spencer getting past the first two levels without any assistance. But then every level afterwards seems to be very reliant on a specific member being in your party to win with you needing Seaplane to get out of the vehicle shed and Oberon needed to navigate the Mandril level.

With practice could you hypothetically beat the helicopter level without Seaplane McDonough or the Mandril level without Oberon, or are solo players just completely screwed?

What Pyg does to his victims is irreversible, stripping them of their own individual looks, gender, minds and personality and leaving them essentially as giant blobs of flesh that bend to his will. What exactly does the GCPD do whenever Pyg is captured and thrown in Arkham? Do they just put his victims in there with him under intensive care? Seems pretty terrifying to think Arkham’s full of these poor souls he disfigured and broke

As Roy says, it’s a very weird place to catch fire, and at least two people died with a child orphaned due to it. How did a fire at the sea lion show at a sea parks not get any media attention, no articles or information about it saved online or any documentation of it happening?
