I tested Ultra Glow to see how Bright it REALLY is.
The TLDR is that measure against a typical glow filament like Overture, Ultra Glow Prusament is a little more than 2x as bright as the competition. The Thumbnail is not edited that's how it looks.

Prusament UltraGlow PETG is the brightest glow filament I’ve ever used- it’s insane.
I measured the light output and it is a little more than twice as bright as bright as Overture glow filament which is on par with every other glow filament I’ve used.
The best indicator for me is the 2nd and 3rd photos of this clock I’m making, when the lights go out it’s incredibly bright but when it’s just dim it’s still noticeably bright while the other filaments I’ve used are not.
Really cool- expensive but worth it when brightness is your number one priority!
I am a complete noob! My day job is making commercials and I make YouTube videos on the side (documenting this for a video in my channel!)
This is my 3rd ever project with CNC and just wanted to show what’s possible for a beginner
Trying to make an interesting desktop clock and thought I’d share the update. I decided to UV print the markings but have learned that I need a protective coating or adhesion promoter because the ink did not stick so Ignore the messed up tick marks
But anyway the housing is maple, the center is brass and the outer ring is aluminum!
I don’t make jewelry and am a beginner with CAD/CAM and still was able to get some nice parts out of the Z1.
This is a 6cm in diameter inlay for a desktop clock I’m working on so I needed more depth and definition to the design because it’s apart of something fairly large compared to a watch. But for someone who just is winging it - this is awesome
This is for a project on my YouTube channel that I can hopefully share soon!
Milling maple, and I will show on YouTube since I can’t post a video from my phone here but I didn’t expect to be able to run this in my attached garage and have my 6 month old baby take a nap in the next room over but it’s possible! The dust collector is louder than the machine!
I have a Genmitsu Cubiko and it’s half the power and feels twice as loud so bravo Makera. Glad to have this up and running.
Also easier than expected to run from fusion 360 and then just bring right into the controller while I wait for Makera Studio beta
This is just an unboxing and my thoughts because I’m currently working on making a few things with it!
I made an unboxing video while I work on cool projects that show the machine off. Since we’ve all seen it I thought I’d include every accessory and add on Makera has for the Z1.
Let me know which accessories you want me to dive deeper into
Would anyone be interested in hanging out in an hour or so and unboxing the Z1 with me live on YouTube?
If so I’ll set up a link and put it in the comments if not I’ll still film it and post a video in a couple days
I had a Z1 shipped with the first batch of machines to the US so that means the rest of the US first batch folks should get machines soon! I’m in California and the air freight shipment lands in California first so adjust based on that!
I haven’t even got home from work but I saw it get dropped off from my doorbell cam and I can’t wait to get there!
Hey folks! Are there any LA/SoCal based editors who like 3d printing?
I have a small YT channel and looking for someone to grow with the channel. Will pay all Adsense a video makes plus free 3d printers, lasers, filament and all that if you’re local.
Not looking to take advantage of anyone just trying to build something cool.
1 hr 45mins vs 42mins vs 36mins
In the order you’d think .6mm,.4mm and .25mm nozzles
Later heights at 1/2 nozzle diameter because that’s most likely how people will use them
I rarely print figures and these are TINY but I thought I’d test it out . I don’t think there’s a world where I need that much detail so probably never using the .25 but definitely an interesting test and an incredible amount of detail
Printed in my Prusa Core One L - yes a comically small print on a large printer!
Finally unboxed my Core One L and it is right at home at the newly named Prusa Palace
This box is so much larger than I expected! I’m excited to get to printing larger format prints with it!
