Was I the only one who thought there were 6 main characters?

Hello again! After I made my first post, I felt quite welcomed and safe to share more of my opinions :)

When I first watched the pilot, I had a feeling it would be "6 protagonists and a crazy AI with a bubble assistant," but after it was confirmed that the protagonists are Pomni and Jax, I felt a very strange sense of incompleteness, you know? If only Pomni were the protagonist, I would understand, because she was the first focus/highlight, but why Jax?? Why not all the humans together? It gives the feeling that the other imprisoned humans like Zooble, Gangle, Kinger, and others are less important because they aren't the main characters with the same screen time, and yes, I don't think each episode focused on one character as it should have

I'm so tired

I won't mention which subreddit this happened on because I don't want to spread hate or gratuitous hatred, but like, I always had the headcanon of Jax being transmac, when it was revealed that he was supposedly transfem, I found it strange, but I decided to ignore it, and when goose said in that question box that I could do whatever I wanted with the character, I felt more freedom to express Jax in my headcanon, and guess what? I was attacked and called transphobic, and very harsh swear words.

I REALLY don't care if Jax is transmac or transfem, but being called transphobic because of that makes me so sad and discouraged, it makes me want to distance myself from the fandom for the sake of my mental health.
