What constitutes a "Heavy animated watchface"?
I've been using watchfaces that just update every minute. But apparently that can still be considered heavily animated?

In debugging under system settings
Battery (ALS Threshold): I changed the ALS threshold from 150 down to a single digit number like 3. This means the ambient light sensor must read a 3 or below before turning on the backlight. This is good if you havr good eyesight and don't like how often the backlight turns on in brighter environments. I don't have concrete numbers but it seems like it meaningful helped my battery life, especially since I have the wrist flick detection for backlight enabled. I prefer to have the backlight only come on when it gets to be too dark to read it.
Motion Sensitivity:
I changed it from medium to medium-high. This seems to make the wrist flick detection for the backlight far more forgiving while still filtering out other arm movements. I don't know if it also means steps are counted more often though.
We were told that software updates should get the battery life to 30 days. But what particular changes through software are we expecting to actually improve the battery life? I'm happy with the battery life I'm currently getting, I'm just curious.
Edit: Yes battery life is fantastic. Yes I'm getting like 20 days of battery now with my current settings. Yes its far better than other watches. I'm not saying otherwise to any of that. I'm just saying the team said battery life was not at their 30 day target and they said they could get there with software updates and I'm curious what those changes would be. I'm not disparaging anything.
Got a 2TB microsd card before prices skyrocketed, built a NAS running a lancache to download steam games faster, loaded up my steam wallet for a reservation, saved up enough money to buy it even if its double the estimated price, bought a kit of the lithium rechargeable AAs that have the charging case, went to the eye doctor to get an updated prescription for prescription lenses, moved my wifi7 router to my living room, upgraded my apartment networking to 2.5GbE/10GbE, bought a 45W GaN charger, and replaced my gaming laptop after it died 2 days ago with a 2025 G14 with a 5080.
I've done everything I possibly can to prepare for the Steam Frame. I have ADHD, but I have nothing left to do. I'm done. Release it. I'm ready.
I can make it come sooner by buying a framework 16 laptop without a dedicated GPU
My 2023 Asus G14 with a 4070 died. Now I'm looking at a framework 16. The options are a 5070 8GB which I can get now or a 5070 12GB which won't arrive until July (which also costs $500 more). Do I really need an extra 4GB?. I only encountered 2 games (both nonVR) where 8GB on my 4070 felt like a crunch and I only really liked one of them. But I'm hoping to get the Steam Frame to play VR titles. Do I really need to get the 5070 12GB? Should I just get Framework 16 without a GPU or get a 5070 8GB to hold me over?

The 5070 12Gb will only ship July. I'd rather not wait until July for a replacement laptop. And if I get one with just the slim no GPU option that kinda defeats the purpose since I have other laptops I can use for non-gaming.
My 2023 G14 shutdown overnight. It doesn't show any charge indicator when plugged in or not. I can't see a single sign of life when plugged in and either holding the power button or not. Is my laptop toast? I played Pragmata last night for the first time and short of Portal RTX thats probably the hottest my laptop got.
A Sapphire screen protector would just be icing on the cake for this watch
I don't know what caused it, but half the apps I downloaded just deleted themselves. I had to reinstall them and all the data on them was lost (I'm especially upset about losing my progress in Pixel Miner). Being able to backup apps & app data would be really helpful for this.
The backlight leans VERY heavily blue. So putting in FF7F38 brings the backlight MUCH closer to a true white. I'd like to make a formula for converting desired color hex code to the hex code you need to enter into the app, but I'm hoping that an update can correct for this blue tinge itself so people don't need to get confused between desired and input hex codes. I also don't have one of those special color code devices so I would just be taking pictures and finding the hex code in MS Paint, which wouldn't be terribly accurate.
It is going to be hard not to post every cool watchface I find
