32M, In the Vancouver area but also work in Portland. I moved here from out of state a few years ago and haven't really gotten myself out there yet so I wanted to make an effort to make some friends and/or join a group with similar interests! I'm mainly into hiking, beginner mountaineering, camping, and fishing but open to pretty much anything outdoors.
For reference I've done St Helens and Adams a few times and typically do 5-15mile hikes. Fishing-wise I have a boat and typically go out on the Columbia for Chinook. I love taking people out, especially to experience their first salmon 🤙 🎣
Also if anyone has recommendations on group or places to look let me know! Thanks 🙏
Since moving to the the PNW years ago I've gotten heavily involved with hiking and beginner mountaineering. I've had a blast out there solo but have been wanting to meet some buddies in the area to go on some adventures with. I went on Meetup and found a few groups on there and also on Facebook. Anyone have experiences with joining one of those group hikes? Was it awkward? Lol. Any other recommendations on where to look?
Also just for reference, I'm 32, in the Vancouver/Portland area. I typically do 5-15mile hikes, have done St Helens a few times and Adams c2c
T-mobile fiber is coming to my neighborhood by the end of the month. They are offering more speed for half the price. I called to ask for my original promotional price back which would still be more than T-Mobile however I've been a customer for years and would rather keep my internet an modem how it is. She was unable to offer any sort of discount and while I wasn't rude, I was stern and frustrated at how Xfinity is giving me absolutely no incentive to stay. I ended up hanging up on her and a few moments later I received 10 rapid fire confirmation texts from xfinity's number and then suddenly all of my wifi devices went down. They reboot my modem. What a way to retain customers. I'll be switching once T-Mobile is up and running.
