Just told I have fatty liver disease but I am underweight and don’t drink much

I got an ultrasound scan for upper right pain near my gallbladder that had been there for ages but was getting worse lately. The US also examined my liver area. I was told I have fatty liver disease but I am 5’4 and 120 lb. I am a farmer and work outside with plenty of exercise. I’m in good shape and eat healthy. Lots of veg and not much processed stuff. Also living in Vermont and also working at a farmstand I have access to amazing farm grown local healthy foods. I don’t drink much and quit drinking altogether for about 3 months earlier this year. What is going on? The comment on the scan said “will discuss diet and exercise” but both those things are literally as good as I can make them. I am basically working out all day most days. What is going on?

Dog hiding in tub

Our 11 y.o. Hound mix is very scared of thunderstorms. Recently he has been hiding in our tub when they happen. He’s started doing it a ton the last few weeks even when it’s not remotely storming, and now also at night instead of sleeping in the bed with us. I’m worried it’s a sign of sickness or old age confusion. We have to bait him out with treats and tuck him in with us and make sure he is nice and cozy and safe. I’m really worried it seems like odd behavior. Does anyone know ?? Anyone else’s dog done this?

Requesting all aquamarine (solitaire) ring settings! I want to see how your rings are designed!

Hi everyone, I am looking to get a setting for an aquamarine stone (faceted oval) and would love some inspo and to see other aqua rings you have! Show them off! It’s such a pretty stone. I’m hoping for a silver setting.

Nightmare rash & Lyme diagnosis (currently still dealing with this)

6/5: Bug/spider? Bite appeared. Bite spot very itchy (nothing else of note)
6/6: large red circle appeared around the bite spot. Drew a circle around it. Was walking around and running errands all day. Hurt a little bit.
6/7: Woke up and could not stand/walk on the leg. Major pain when standing up after having the leg up on the couch for a bit. Bubbling at the surface of the skin. Looked red and concerning. Severe pain on leg, walking nearly impossible, skin was raised and bending at knee not possible.
6/8: Doctors appointment AM. Diagnosed as Lyme or cellulitis. Prescribed doxycycline. Said can treat both. No labs done. Sent home. Rash continues to spread. Rash looking purple with larger red areas spreading around.
6/9: Rash purple with some gray/white areas. Spreading rapidly. By noon my partner said we are going to the ER. Definitely no improvement yet only getting worse. 3 doses of doxycycline at intake at ER. Wait for 4 hours: rash so much worse even in that time frame. Given 2 kinds of IV antibiotics and painkillers. Labs/bloodwork done. Positive for Lyme. Diagnosed as cellulitis in addition. Pain IV given. Said rash should improve in pain and look within 24 hours if not come back. Given flagyl in addition to doxycycline to take at home.
6/10: No noticeable visual improvement yet. Some pain improvement.
6/11: visually a little better for the first time. Walking is easier. 2:24 pm so this is all very current.

Purple first pic is the most current (that’s from yesterday)

Also I posted to r/spiders thinking it was just a bite and looking for info - they’re actually the ones that said cellulitis - if you think you have a bad spider bite also get bloodwork for LYME and cellulitis !! I thought that didn’t apply to me because there was no classic bullseye with the outer distinct ring but I am wrong as hell!

Can someone tell me if I will have long term impacts from Lyme disease if I treated it quickly after ? I’m very worried

I’m not sure where to post this but could anyone guess what spider I was bit by? Details in comments

Having muscle spasms and it’s making me limp, it’s shooting up my muscles on my leg. Day 4. Hasn’t expanded out of the line I drew on day 3. I saw the spider on my knee pit as I was sitting down on the farm. Northern VT. I thought it was grayish with medium long legs and not that big a body but I didn’t catch a good look. Could it have been a recluse? Their coloring is less brown than I thought when looking them up.

New vegetable farmer - is this time of year for farmers more brutal than later in the season?

This was removed from r/farming so I’m trying here although I realize this is mostly hobby gardeners. Maybe some of you are also farmers by trade for more large scale ops? I just started at a ~40 acre vegetable farm.

I am new to the profession after years of hobby gardening and don’t know what to expect with “real” farming so I would appreciate any perspective.

It does feel rather brutal right now: weather, immense prep to get starts in beds, bed prep, seeding one million 72 flats, frantic big push to prep and get things in.

We don’t even have leaves fully back on the trees yet and it snowed for a bit yesterday so it may just be that it’s hard to be outside so far.

Just trying to get a little perspective on early season work compared to later season work, how it feels to start the season, etc. Is early season work less enjoyable/ more grunt work for you? Is later season work with harvesting/packing/trellising less frantic?

Doing dishes today and noticed how my work has slowly taken over. I love using them every day!

I am still learning and taking classes so there are a lot of not quite bowls-not quite mugs with no handles lol but it turns out they’re great snack cups and are heavily used by us!
