Banned for telling someone to read their medication sheet, then muted for asking why. Moving my business away from Pomegranate.

TL;DR: Received a 3-day ban on r/pomhealth for telling a user to read the medication's included temperature sheet. When I politely asked for clarification on how this was "medical advice," the mods dismissed me because the ban "had already expired," refused to answer the question, and then muted me, again. Moving my business away from Pomegranate.

I am writing this because Pomegranate seriously needs to look at how its volunteer moderators interact with paying customers. Even if a moderator believes a ban is fully justified, there is no reason to be unnecessarily dismissive, rude, or hostile when a customer politely asks for clarification as they're encouraged to do.

The Background:
I received a 3-day ban and a "final warning" for allegedly providing “unlicensed medical advice.” The exact comment that triggered this was:

“There should have been a temperature information sheet in with your medication. It will tell you all you need to know.”

The ban message claimed this comment was inappropriate because it involved advising users about “when/how they should titrate, what dose they should be on, and the viability of their medication.”

The Interaction:
The ban message explicitly instructed me to reach out if I had questions, so I immediately messaged the mod team to politely ask for clarification.

  • My first follow-up: After receiving no initial response, I checked in again.
  • Their first response: “Look into... What? The ban? It was temporary and is expired, nothing to look into. So long as you don't break the rules again you'll be fine.”

They completely ignored my actual question. I messaged them back, remaining polite despite their tone, and explained that I just wanted to understand the rule so I could avoid making the same mistake in the future. I also noted that my comment had been visible for 21 days before it was suddenly removed alongside every other non-mod comment that had been removed 19 days prior to mine (approximately 10) when the thread was locked.

  • Their second response: “Again, the ban has already expired, there will be no further reviews made. I'm sorry that it took us 21 days to see the comment - we are incapable of seeing every post made in real time. Good day.”

Then they proceeded to mute me from contacting the mod team for 7 days. Not sure why it says to reach out with questions because they get defensive and mute you if you ask a genuine question.

Why I am leaving Pomegranate:
I was telling someone to refer to the official information sheet that came inside their own medication box. That is not "unlicensed medical advice." It feels entirely like my comment was just swept up in a bulk deletion when they decided to lock the entire thread, and rather than admitting that or explaining the rule, the mods chose to power-trip and shut down communication.

I have been a loyal, paying customer, but this experience completely changed my perception of the company. Pomegranate didn't lose me because of a temporary 3-day ban; they lost me because they allow moderators of their affiliate subreddit to treat paying customers as if they are completely beneath them. I will be taking my money elsewhere.

Pomegranate Async Refill Question — Prescription Bottle Says: No Refills

I’m hoping someone can clarify the refill process with Pomegranate because I feel like I’m probably overthinking this.

I’m a current patient, and I keep hearing about placing a refill order, so I assumed it would be pretty straightforward. However, when I look at my prescription bottle, it says “No refills.”

When you request a refill from a pharmacy, it’s because your prescription shows there are refills available. So now I’m wondering — can I still just go into the new portal and select “Request Async Refill” and proceed that way even though my one and only Pomegranate order shows 0 refills available on the bottle?

I’ve been a little nervous about placing another order after seeing some of the recent issues people have had, so I’m just trying to make sure I’m not missing a step or creating a problem for myself.

Can someone who has gone through the async refill process confirm how this works?

Patiently (Okay, Not That Patiently) Waiting for Friday’s Deal 😄

Happy Friday! 😊 I’ve been looking forward to seeing the first community-picked deal. Any update on when it’ll be posted?
I really like this idea and have been checking back throughout the day because I’m excited to see what the winning nomination was. Looking forward to seeing how this weekly experiment unfolds!

Auto Rejected assuming for “completing too fast”

I’ve been on Prolific since 2018 and today I received my first-ever rejection.

I hadn’t been very active recently, but today I decided to sign in a do a couple studies. There was a project and I was invited to complete Wave 2 of a longitudinal study via a message.

The researcher’s message included a direct link to the study, along with a username and password, so I followed their instructions exactly. I spent quite a while completing the study.

When I finished, I used the submission link and completion code from their message, but it only loaded a blank white screen. I immediately went to my Prolific dashboard and noticed the study was sitting there waiting to be accepted. In hindsight, I wish I had accepted it first instead of following the direct link the researcher sent.

After accepting it, I logged back into the study with the username and password they had provided, and it said I had already completed today’s diary, confirming they had received my responses. I clicked “Finish Study,” entered the completion code, and explained the situation when Prolific asked if there had been been any problems with my submission.

Unfortunately, the submission was rejected almost immediately, so it doesn’t seem like my explanation was even considered. I’ve messaged the researcher and am waiting for a response.

Researchers really shouldn’t be sending direct study links through Prolific messages if participants are also expected to accept the study on Prolific first. It creates confusion and situations like this. Has anyone else had something similar happen, and if so, was the researcher willing to reverse the rejection?

Feeling like my ponytail is getting thinner ~ looking for reassurance and advice. Hair shedding after 17 weeks on tirzepatide ~ protein and/or oral minoxidil (1.25mg)?

I've been on tirzepatide since March 12, and I'm about to take my 17th shot tonight. So far I've lost 28 pounds, roughly 1.7lbs a week, but lately I've started worrying about my hair.

My ponytail feels noticeably looser, and every time I run my fingers through my hair, I end up with strands in my hand. It's not coming out in clumps or leaving bald spots, but my hair has always been very thick and waist-length, so even a small change feels significant to me.

I'll be honest, my protein intake hasn't been where it should be. I usually drink one 30g protein shake a day, but beyond that I haven't been very intentional about getting enough protein. I plan to start taking it more seriously now. I already take hair/skin/nails vitamin daily, just bought Vital Proteins collagen, and I'm planning to make a real effort to increase my overall protein intake.

What has me wondering is whether I should also consider starting low-dose oral minoxidil (1.25 mg), not because I'm experiencing major hair loss, but more as a preventative measure if this is the beginning of shedding.

Years ago I went to my doctor because I thought I was losing too much hair (my diet wasn't great back then either). He looked at my hair and said I didn't need to worry, and that I wasn't going to lose it all. I still hear him saying that in my head, and I'm hoping I'm just overthinking this again.

For those of you who experienced hair shedding while losing weight or on tirzepatide:

  • Did increasing your protein intake make a noticeable difference?
  • Did your shedding eventually slow down on its own?
  • Has anyone started low-dose oral minoxidil (around 1.25 mg) specifically because of GLP-1 or weight-loss-related shedding? If so, was it worth it?

I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences. I know hair shedding can happen with rapid weight loss, but it's hard not to worry when you've always had thick hair, and suddenly your ponytail feels thinner.

Fifty410 vs Rift: Trying to Compare Hallandale Vial Sizes and Overall Value

My cousin is considering switching from Fifty410 to Rift and is trying to figure out which option makes the most sense.
She’s planning to titrate up using Hallandale and would likely do:

• 7.5mg for 4 weeks
• 10mg for 4 weeks
• 12.5mg for 4 weeks

Does anyone know what vial sizes Hallandale/Rift typically sends for a dosing schedule like this?

With Fifty410, she received 8 weeks for $249. I know Fifty410 isn’t strictly 28-day vial compliant, but the pricing was hard to beat. She’s trying to compare costs, vial sizes, and overall value before deciding whether to stay or switch.

Any insight from those who have recently ordered through Rift with Hallandale would be appreciated!

Curious, is Pomegranate still shipping BPI 60 mg/3 mL vials?

Yes, Pomegranate does not do the actual shipping we all know that, but I believe the simple answer is either, Pomegranate no longer has any 60mg inventory left at TPH OR they do and they are saving those with a later BUD to continue selling 3 month advanced plans when the October BUD will no longer work to fulfill those 3 month orders.

Pomegranate has to keep track of the BPI inventory they have available at TPH. While they don't handle the shipping directly, they secured their own specific stock of it. If BPI inventory at TPH were universally shared, providers like Fifty410 would likely still be offering it, but because inventory is allocated individually (based on what each company bought up), availability varies by telehealth.

Has anyone recently received the BPI 60 mg vial (20 mg/mL, 3 mL total volume) from Pomegranate?

I’m trying to figure out if they’re still sending out the 60 mg/3 mL vials at 20 mg/mL, or if they’ve switched to only dispensing the 68 mg vials and lower-concentration vials.

Just trying to get a sense of what people are currently being shipped, specifically from Pomegranate. Thank you!

Best blanket styles/patterns to maximize bids for a charity auction? 🧵

I’m making a blanket for an upcoming charity auction benefiting local animal rescues. The organizers mentioned it does not need to be animal-themed, so I want to focus purely on creating something high-quality and universally appealing that will bring in the highest bids possible.
For those of you who have made a blanket for auctions what did you make? Any suggestions welcome! Thank you ☺️

Which would you choose if starting?

My cousin is starting her tirzepatide journey with Fifty410 and got these two options. Seeing which you’d recommend. I started with Fifty410 as well but chose BPI so I cannot give her much help because I’ve tried neither of her options. The way it looks to me she wouldn’t be guaranteed Apothecary and it might be PGRrx instead.
