Was wanting to pick up a LXT combo kit (impact, drill, batteries) and the kit that was costing $499 last month (regularly this price) is now $650! I’ve noticed the price hike across all of the kits. WTH is going on?? These tools are years old but why such an increase. Seriously considering looking else where now.

I have a mixture of M12 & M18 tools; is the gen 1 M18 Surge worth it in 2026? Local store has it on sale, M18 Fuel also on sale for the same price $180 CAD.

My preference would be the M12 Surge but don’t want to be limited to its use case. Should I stick to the M18 Fuel? General diy use case/ weekend warrior.

Currently visiting Seattle and was thinking of hitting HD to grab this deal, however every time I add the batteries, it’s always showing out of stock and available for delivery only. How accurate is the website? Hard to believe they will have zero batteries in stock??

I’m looking for a new impact driver and local store has the Fuel M18 impact and new Surge both on sale
for $199 CAD.

How’s the power of the new Surge compared to the regular impact? I also keep reading conflicting opinions on the gen4 on how unreliable it is. I’m hesitant to drop all this cash on something that won’t last.

I’m not interested in buying another brand as I already own a few 5.0 batteries.. just wanted to hear people’s thoughts.

In-laws 2014 X5 which they’ve had since new with approx 125,000km is in need of a major service. Rear air bag suspension has failed on both sides included tailgate. It likely needs a new water pump, thermostat, complete over do of the cooling system and any other preventative maintenance.

They stopped driving it full time about two years ago and I’m debating whether I should take it off their hands (only because it’s been a family car since new). But I’d like to get an idea of what this work may cost or if I should just stay away??
