XCOM Miniatures Game - Resin or HIPS?

Just saw the announcement that the XCOM miniatures game figures will be available as HIPS hard plastic pieces.

From the announcement:
Due to the huge amount of support for the XCOM: The Miniatures Game project, we can confirm that we will also be producing the sets in HIPS hard plastic! You will be able to choose from resin production miniatures (made in the same factory as our Fallout and Mass Effect miniatures), or HIPS sets for the pre-order. Only HIPS sets will be available in retail.

Anyone know what the quality difference is between HIPS hard pastic and resin? Which is better? And how is it better? Also, possible that only some figures will be available in HIPS or resin... and should we try to make sure all our pieces are the same material / quality?

Should we add a tag for the miniatures game?

Code Orange at BJ's Warehouse

Okay, last one for a while. I'm just trying to catch the less commonly shared stores. There wasn't much in general, but there was a large display of yard decor.

BJ's is new to our area, and this one just opened a couple of months ago. If you're unfamiliar, BJ's is like Sam's or Costco but smaller and more focused on groceries. They have robots that roll around whistling while checking inventory, too.

Code Orange at Pottery Barn

Also went by Pottery Barn today. They had a table of Halloween stuff. The metal witch candle-holders were pretty... metal. ;) The shiny gold/bronze stuff would've been much cooler if it were brushed nickel or silver.

Code Orange at Williams Sonoma

Saw some cool Peanuts and NbC Halloween stuff at Williams Sonoma today. Love the black and white witch stuff, too!

Code Orange at World Market!

This was at World Market in Fort Worth yesterday (July 18)
Can't wait to try some of the teas! I should have bought some of the soda, too. Flying Cauldron is one of my favorites. Ah, well. That'll give me a reason to go back!
