I was just thinking of a cheap protection in a zombie apocalypse and it just occurred to me that foam armour covered in truck bed liner would be a great way to mass produce cheap but effective armour.

The foam deals with concussive force and the truck bed liner is for piercings and slashing forces.

Pros

*Easy to produce

*Easy to repair or resize

*Lightweight

*Protects from zombies and most melee weapons.

Cons

*Could be hot if not designed well

*Doesn't protect from firearms.

In most zombie apocalypses rarely do we see a small town full of survivors. Like it's far away from the city but still has enough infrastructure to make living easy. Most towns have great relationships with one another and if you pick a good enough location you could have farmable land and fishing sources.

Edit: to address some of the criticism for this.

Danger: Zombies( fast moving ones ala runners from Project Zomboid. They also migrate to different places.)

Hostile settlements/raiders you could have fights over water sources and fertile land. They could also use zombies to attack the settlement.

Military/military remnants could be a source of problem too as they could try to takeover the town.

Pre-existing criminals as someone has said that horrible people do still exist and that could also be great for storytelling.

Refugees/other survivors they could pose as danger or ally.

Storytelling pros: Scavenging stories - it is where you have some members of the community go scavenging in other towns or even in the city.

Bartering or Trading and Diplomacy - talks and interaction with other settlements would still be interesting.

Horde and Hostile settlements attacks - just regular zombies plot.

Refugees and Survivors - other settlements getting destroyed or just city folks coming to the town.

Future Gohan was somewhat relative to Androids 17 and 18 individually, and he only lost because he was missing an arm and had to fight both of them at the same time. The anime heavily implies that the androids were still taking him seriously enough to jump him together instead of either one casually finishing him alone.

We also know that Future Gohan was still stronger than the Trunks who gave Goku the heart virus medicine. That version of Trunks was portrayed as somewhat relative to Yardrat Goku, or at least not massively below him. If Yardrat Goku was truly much stronger than Future Gohan, then future Vegeta, who later achieved Super Saiyan should be relative to yardrat Goku, should have been capable of defeating the androids in the future timeline. Clearly that was not the case, since the future androids completely dominated everyone in the future for years.

People also rely too heavily on Future Gohan saying he was not as strong as Goku. Statements like that should be taken with a massive grain of salt because Gohan consistently downplays himself throughout the series. Even during the Cell Saga, Gohan believed he was weaker than Goku despite everyone else recognizing his hidden power. Gohan idolized Goku to an unhealthy degree, and Future Gohan was even worse because he grew up traumatized in a destroyed world while constantly hearing about how great Goku was. Years of trauma and survivor guilt clearly damaged his self worth, so him saying he was weaker than Goku should not be treated as absolute fact.

We know that the present timeline androids were stronger than the future timeline versions. Trunks himself was shocked by how powerful the present androids were compared to the ones from his timeline.

Because of all this, Future Gohan should reasonably scale above early Super Saiyan Vegeta from the Android Saga, but way below Kamicolo, who was capable of fighting on par with Android 17 in the present timeline.

All I hope is to stop seeing these slander that Yardrat Goku is stronger than future Gohan and actually scale him properly.
