What are the chances a securing a MS in foreign uni ?

I am getting CSE in nit k and definitely want to go for abroad education after btech , placements are second priority for me

Plz tell -

1- what is the scene abt this on campus , are students interested in ms abroad or more placement focused?

2- How hard is it to maintain 9+ cgpa in CSE branch as foreign unis need a very high cgpa for shortlisting

3- Is it possible to do various internships (research or normal ug ) on campus or off campus without spoiling grades and attendance

4- Are the profs cool abt this or not

Note - i am also getting cse in nit trichy so if nitt is better for that then plz also tell

If any corrections are required then plz comment down

Seniors please help me

I am a double dropper and have secured a very good rank in jee mains

I have the choice of NIT trichy cse , surathkal cse etc and as well as DTU cse or any circuital branch

I am from up (agra) and was definitely pumped up ki NIT t jaunga but after a few weeks of research and taking to seniors i came to a conclusion -

1- Brand name Top nits> DTU

2-I am kind of more interested toward startups and stuff which is not present in nits or is hardly there (nit surathkal has a good startup culture and shit but the living conditions there are not up to par at all)

3- I want some free time from acads and i think dtu is best in terms of this

4 - probably most important - Internship flexibility as well as availability , i think dtu is far better than any nits in terms of that)

5- ghar se jyda dur jane ka man nhi hai

SO seniors what should i choose , i am confused af

How is the sports culture ?

How are the sports in the college . What are the facilities available? And do you all get time to play sports? Apart from the academics or do the academics take most of your time

Any info about the new curriculum??

Is there any update on what the new curriculum will be?

From the nitk k group on whatsapp, it is being said that the club participation will be mandatory for students of every branch. How much of this is true? And if not, then, what are the correct rules and regulation?

If you have any official information or sources or notice, which confirm the change in academic curriculum from 2026 .So please drop the p d f for the link to the p d f or notice or post or whatever u find

Nit trichy cse or nit surathkal cse - Seniors help me choose

I am 2026 double dropper and am getting nit trichy cse as well as nit surathkal cse and have a doubt what to choose between them .

I will try to list as many points as possible that i have noted after talking to seniors from the respective colleges-

NIT TRICHY-

Positives - Best grand value among nits , Old alumni network , Consistent placements (for cse it doesn't matter that much for both colleges) , good infra (comparatively) , Competitive peer group

Negatives- Heavy academic workload , very strict attendance policy (this is a bit relaxed in nitk) , more of a theory thesis approach towards topics , less time for extracurriculars like sports , clubs etc (i take sports and stuff kinda seriously) and internship drive is good but isn't that great

NIT SURATHKAL

Positives- Better tech culture than nit trichy and probably better than nitt for cse branch , more relaxed in terms of acads , more time to explore stuff , a bit more relaxed college life (not infra wise) , better access to many tech companies (didn't knew much before but even a few HFTs came too) and there is a advantage of bangalore being close (not so much , but yeah) , probably has the best internship drive among all nits

Negatives - a bit less recognition than nitt , infra is not very good , food and water problems (irrelevant for this discussion buy i added them still),

Overall i want a balanced college life - not too hectic and not too relaxed and i had my mind for surathkal but my parents are insisting on trichy as it is considered the no1 nit and yeah i am still having my confusion for both these colleges

So please drop your opinion and if there is any correction needed in these points then tell that too .

*plz don't tell me to go for iiit h , i don't want to

Are the academics flexible in terms of managing internships or some other extra stuff or is it strict

What is the scene of internship in the college , is the schedule flexible enough in the college for internship or do professors and management deny internships due to attendance

Please also tell the duration of internships are they allowed , are they just limited to summer internships and are there any options for semester long internships or not

How is the infra of the college and food do you face any problems in water or food and is the temperature hot

How is the staff there

What what is the scenario of the companies that higher specially from CSE  . Are there any hft companies present and if yes for what roles do the mainly higher the students

How is the city life outside of college is there anything to explore

Are there any students who go for a MBA or masters in foreign universities after the BTech

What is the scenario of startup culture in the college is it encouraged or is it just there

Is there any regional bias present for students to enter the different clubs

please answer this questions as they will kind of finalize my college selection
