Flaking Perioral Area. Please Help

One week ago I got my loading dose of Dupixent. I started getting severe flaking two days ago. I did zero therapy for about a week but still cleansed with vanicream cleanser. I just started a very light moisturizer last night. I have been dealing with perioral dermatitis for 6 months. Before this I had pustules and burning which have gone away. If I eat something spicey my upper lip does feel it a little. The only time I have experienced this is when I was using adapelene, vitamin c, exfoliating acid, etc. and when this happened I used a heavy cream to try and correct it and thus I developed perioral dermatitis (this was 6 months ago). Am I headed in the right direction? When will the flaking stop? Is this because of Dupixent? Should I keep using my light moisturizer? Thank you!!!

Zero Therapy Flaking! When can I moisturize?

Hi all! I’ve been doing zero therapy for 1 week to help cure my perioral dermatitis. So far I have no new pustules but I am very flakey. My dermatologist said it was ok to introduce La Roche Posay Toleriane Sensitive Fluide but I’m a little scared. I just started the moisturizer on the non PD parts of my face and so far so good! I have read that you should introduce moisturizer only once the flakes have disappeared. I’m not sure if I’m making it worse by not moisturizing but also scared to piss it off at the same time.

Additionally, if anyone has sunscreen recommendations that would be awesome! I’ve gotten patch testing done and of the 3 mineral ones they tested I reacted to all 3 (Elta Md uv clear, cetaphil sheer mineral drops, bare minerals tinted spf) the chemical sunscreens that were patch tested I did not react to but I remember my face sorta burned by the end of the day after using 😭 perhaps once my barrier is healed I will tolerate these better.

Thank you!

Krave Oat So Simple Water Cream or La Roche Posay Toleriane Sensitive Fluid

I have been searching for a good moisturizer to reintroduce after doing zero therapy. I am oily and acne prone and I also suffer from rosacea and perioral dermatitis. Even on zero therapy I am still oily. If any of you guys have ever used these I would love to hear your thoughts! I have many allergens to ingredients and these are two that are on my safe list of products.

Viona Ivermectin causing fungal acne?

I have been using the generic ivermectin cream viona and have started to noticed small clusters that itch right above my eye brows. Is this normal? The cream base has fungal triggers and also SLS but I’m using it to treat mite overgrowth (rosacea, perioral dermatitis). Should I stop using?

AM-cetaphil gentle skin cleanser and Malsezia moisturizer
PM-Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser and ivermectin cream (I wait 30 min before applying but I will shorten this time to 3-5 min as I think it’s contributing to TEWL)

Viona Ivermectin

I have been really going through it with rosacea and perioral dermatitis. I have tried lots of things. Currently I was prescribed ivermectin 1% cream. The first few days it was totally fine then I started to develop some dry skin and more red dots near my mouth and a cluster of itchy bumps on forehead above eye brows. The cream base of this rx is not that great it has some fungal triggers and it also has SLS. I am so confused why they put a great medication in a terrible vehicle. I have tried azelaic acid as well and I get bumps from it but it does sorta help with burning. The azelaic acid I have also has a fungal trigger. Should I stop using?

Current routine:
AM-cetaphil gentle skin cleanser
-Malsezia urea moisturizer
PM-Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser
-Wait 30 min for face to dry( think I will stop waiting this long maybe just do 3-5 min)
-Viona Ivermectin 1% cream

Face cleansers and moisturizers for seb derm please ❤️

I’ve been having a ton of skin issues-first diagnosed with rosacea then perioral dermatitis and now seb derm. My dermatologist recommended I use nizoral shampoo on my face but I am extremely sensitive so I have not done that yet I have an appointment coming up soon so hopefully they can give me something not so harsh. I’ve tried metro cream which burned real bad, I tried azelaic rx 15% acid which was not too bad and slightly helpful but sometimes it would burn it also caused my forehead to break out in small itchy flesh colored bumps. I put nothing on my face but water for a whole week and today I just used Bioderma Sensibio gel moissant and I applied like a half pea sized amount of Purito Mighty Bamboo cream. My face feels a lil funny but not horrible. I patch tested vanicream daily moisturizer on my ear and experienced burning so I didnt use that. I’m unsure if the vanicream cleanser was breaking me out or not I kind of suspected it was but it was overall non offensive to my skin. Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser wasn’t bad either but I’m not sure if it would be enough since I’m producing so much oil. Anyway I will likely try to do the cleanser and moisturizer stated above for a couple weeks but if it doesn’t work out I would love some recommendations.

Red slightly painful bump on nose

I developed this red bump on my nose after going on vacation somewhere local to where I live. I thought it could be a staph infection so I went to the urgent care and they said I had shingles. I have no other symptoms but after the provider touched it it does throb a little bit here and there. I’ve never touched it except for when washing my face and it will hurt a little after. They put me on some antivirals that make me nauseous.

Best moisturizer to use after Zero Therapy

I am currently on day three of zero therapy and was wondering what would be a good moisturizer to use when I’m done-will likely continue zero therapy for 2 weeks or more. I have oily acne prone skin and rosacea (my cheeks and eye area can get a little tight/dry). I thought I would struggle a lot with zero therapy but my skin is actually doing so much better. I have also been diagnosed with rosacea and I started to get perioral dermatitis which is why the zero therapy. I did the Dr La Cruz Sulfur mask for three minutes on day 2 and it was sorta a crazy experience-couldn’t wash it off with just a splash of water and panicked cus my skin was starting to tingle so I grabbed a towel and tried to wipe/blot off think I irritated my skin a bit with the towel but the next morning my bumps were flat and my whole face was less red including around my chin.

After eating one buffalo wing from Red Robin i developed a red itchy chin with a hive or two. I was diagnosed with rosacea recently but this mainly happens when I eat hot foods, salami etc and it has never been this bad. I only started to noticed the flushing and redness after I had shoulder surgery. It gets particularly bad if I don’t take citirazine (allergy meds) someone had commented saying I could have perioral dermatitis but at this point I have no idea so many diagnosis.
