Then a guy from my job gave out some in a meeting. Then I found one at Walmart I liked….then got one as a gift for Father’s Day…then I picked up another one over the weekend…
Needed to find a way to get em off the desk. Not a big collection but….its a start.
Wife got me this for Father’s Day. It’s been 15+ years since I’ve done one.
My questions are about paint.
I live in an apartment and don’t have the space or set up yet for an actual booth to handle the lacquer paints.
I’ve read about the Vallejo acrylic. I know they aren’t as hard, lasting, or bonding as the lacquer paints.
My wife has an air brush so that saves a little bit.
Since this is my first build, would it be ok to do the Vallejo paints, primers and clears for a beginner?
Which line of paint?
Any tips or tricks for a beginner I know it’s not going to be perfect and this will be a learning curve and Ive accepted that.
I’m the type of person to go all in and buy the best of everything when starting because I think I need it. I’m going to approach this a little different. Any help would be amazing
Was wondering if mushrooms are harmful? It’s been rainy the last few weeks and temps are climbing. Do I need to worry about anything or just pull em and toss of?
Setup:
-40g Tub
-West facing patio in near Dallas Tx
-Tub has 1” drainage holes (10-12 of them)
-Bottom is filled with expanded shale
-Substrate mix is: compost, landscape mix, and vermiculite. (Couldn’t afford happy from but still needed well draining and something that held moisture and this is what the guy at the nursery suggested)
Plants inside:
1 x Luna Red Hardy Hibiscus
2 x “Happy Cleo” Dwarf Cana Lily
Waterings: I use a bamboo skewer and make sure 3 inches down is on the dryer side of moist before watering (right now it’s once every other day)
