I hate this arc and I hope the show will handle it better COMIC SPOILERS

The Robot war was a waste. I read that it was rushed but hey... The more I read it the more I hate it.

First, why did Robot do that? Yes, he didn't wanted Mark to inherit the throne but his plan was messy, hardly possible, cruel and too late. Why wait for Invincible to get better? Why the Viltrumites didn't go back to Earth?

Second, Immortal and Earth's heroes are too cooperative. Mark left them, he ran away and when he needs them he just ask them and everyone agree? Nah... I would have let him handle it himself. He didn't even bother look for them when he returned from the reboot.

Third, it lacked real political implications and the POV of the population.

Fourth, I wanted a clear victory for Mark. The brain in the jar solution doesn't sit right with me AT ALL. It is immoral, Robot just becomes a brain, a tool, without any chance of redemption; hypocritical, those who did way worse had nothing; Decided alone, Mark decide for Earth alone, without the people, samething he blamed Robot.

What do you think?

I would like the show to expand this arcs

I would really like the show to expand or perhaps modify the Dinausorus and flaxan arcs next season. Because they are turning points in character arcs like Mark, Robot or Bulletproof and the occasion to show more about the new guardians of the globe who will be presented.

How power affects you

In the comics we can see how power or governance affected people so let's discuss it.

First, Allen the alien. Initially just a soldier, he becomes the chief of the COP after the death of Thadeus. People say that he became bad due to his power but that's not true at all. He was responsible. Allen is the chief of a coalition, a bunch of people that have their own agenda but a common point, fight the Viltrumite empire. He is just a regular Jude with a lot of sh\*t piling on. His most controversial decision was spread the scourge virus on Earth to stop the repopulation of the empire. The decision was immoral yes, but baseless or evil? No.

Allen was crushed by responsibility and had to act to stop the Viltrumite empire in my opinion.

Second, we have Mark Grayson. He inherited of the Viltrumite empire after his dad's death and the discovery that he was a descendent of Argaal. Except for his personal life that was a mess, his days as emperor were "safe" since he had the strength, the legitimacy and the work his father made beore him. Power also changed him but not as much as the next one.

Third, Robot or Rudolph/Rex Connors( i don't want the "don't call him Rex" in the comments that's boring now). Let's start by his time in the flaxan dimension. To win against the flaxans ones and for all, he and MG entered the flaxan world but get captured. Next, for centuries, him and MG led a rebellion and defeated the forces of the Zaxal imperial family and is chosen to be the new king. The first years are great but there is a problem, how to handle the defeated Zaxal family? Rudy cast them aside and made them second rank citizens, something Amenda is against. That's the starting point of their fracture. For several other centuries, Rudolph is a good leader, always winning the elections he brought. But MG grew distant with, Rudolph focused on gouvernance while MG got closer to the descendants of the Zaxal family and started adopting some of their ideas. And that led to the coup of the zaxals, supported by Amenda. The woman later, will free Rudy from his cell to fight again the Zaxals since they came back to the old days. After defeating them again, Rudy gets back to Earth with MG but not before ordering the annihilation of the Zaxal bloodline, particularly the fruit of the affair between MG and a Zaxal.

After coming back, Robot tried to act as before the flaxan dimension but there was definitely a shift in him. Personally, i think of Robot as a human who process things like a machine and will make the necessary to accomplish the mission. Those traits only amplified with the flaxan dimension but also the numerous mistakes and threats on Earth( viltrumites, Dinausorus, Volcanica) and we had his second coup where he killed the heroes and established world peace.

So, what do you think of the three? For my part, I always nuance Robot and I don't qualify him as tyrant on Earth. He was a good leader despite what he did. And among the three, he was the one who worked the hardest to have what he had.

The Merging( intro)

I want to create a new universe, result of the fusion of the universes of Invincible(comics but I can welcome changes brought by the show), the MCU ( not all the projects after Endgame will be included except if I like it), DCAU(before the Tomorrow verse but I want to add people if I like to like Red hood, or Jonathan Kent), X-men 97( I wanted to add Krakoa but it would be too much.

I am not an author so it can be poorly written(I can also use AI to HELP me but most of it will be my work). Despite that, I want to share my vision about this what if.

Let's explain the Merging. The Merging is a collision of four worlds ( three if you count the X-men and MCU as one). It is not something created by a cosmic entity or whatever, I write that's all.

I decided that I wanted a battle royal between those universes and also ressurect a bunch of people and see their ideology collide.

All those who died will be ressurected. Rules and concepts of those universes will blend together.

So let's start.

\*\*BATTLE ROYAL\*\*

God beyond gods, not at all just a writer who decided to make a mix of universes for the sake of his sole amusement.

The heroes first wake up not knowing what happened. They were scattered everywhere. After a moment, they saw people they didn't know Superman wondered at a man in the colors of America and his shield. Another had the same colors, a slightly different shield but had wings. Hawkeye started crying when he saw Natasha who were already hugging her sister. Hal Jordan rose into the sky at the same time as Invincible and his brother Oliver in his teenager look.

Suddenly a voice rang into everyone minds " Their heroes it is time to fight the winner save his universe while the looser..."

The heroes were not having it. So, the images of Metropolis, New-York with the Avengers tower and the Baxter building and Chicago appeared. It shown the towns being obliterated.

" The damages can be undone but only for the ones who win so fight and protect your worlds."

The silence after the voice's threat was heavy and tense. Facing people they didn't know, everyone was tense, fist were clinched and weapons were drawn. Oliver Grayson was a good person but if he didn't have a choice he would always choose his peers over others. He bolted but his brother stopped him. " Let's keep our heads cool, brother" Mark said with a hint of happiness in his voice.

Wolverine also wanted to attack but he heard: "NO."

The word cracked through the air with force behind it, not just volume. Xavier's voice, but not spoken — pressed directly into every skull on the battlefield at once, hard enough that a few of the less experienced fighters staggered.

"Whatever that voice wants, it does not get it by making us slaughter each other in the first sixty seconds like animals."

Clark and Bruceturned to the source like everyone else toward the origin of the communication. In a single glance they knew who they were facing, his ability and some informations. Everyone here now carried a working knowledge of everyone else's powers, weaknesses, tendencies. And the instant that knowledge synced, the unknown man was now known.

Steve Rogers used the pause. He always did.

"Nobody's fighting yet," he said, shield already up, though whether it was aimed at Oliver or just held as a wall between two crowds of strangers wasn't clear. Beside him, the other Captain America — black, different-colored star, wings folded tight against his back — hadn't drawn a weapon either. Sam Wilson recognized the posture across universes before he recognized the man.

"You're gonna want to hear the wheelchair guy out," Sam said. "Trust me. Whoever runs this circus already thinks he's the biggest threat in the yard. That should tell you something."

Above them, Hal Jordan hung motionless in the air, ring already spun up into a shapeless half-formed shield, watching other people got into the sky and the crowd on the ground.

Clint hadn't moved from where he'd landed. Couldn't. Natasha was already crushing her sister against her chest like she'd rehearsed the reunion a thousand times in her head and this was the first time it had gone right — and across the field, others were reuniting and catching up.

The battlefield fractured into clusters — not by choice exactly, just by the oldest instinct any of them had: find your own first.

The "MCU" side pulled in fast. Steve had Sam at his shoulder within seconds, Natasha, Clint and Yelena were together. Wanda drifted in last with Vision, quiet, scanning the sky where the burning images still hung — she'd already clocked that whatever was doing this wasn't a person she could read the normal way, and that bothered her more than the threat itself.

"Head count," Steve said. "Who do we actually have."

"Depends who else is \\\*us\\\*," Sam muttered, looking sideways at the other flag-colored soldier a hundred feet off. Steve followed his eyes and said nothing, because there wasn't a good first sentence for that conversation yet.

The X-Men clustered around Xavier, which was less a decision and more gravity. Storm had her arms crossed, watching Invincible's cluster with the specific wariness of someone who'd just learned exactly how much force it would take to kill her and filed it under "later problem". Wolverine hadn't said a word — just stood with his back to the group, nose in the air, trying to work out how many different kinds of dangerous were standing within striking distance.

"Everyone's in everyone's head now," Xavier said quietly, for his own people only. "I didn't do that. I want that understood before anyone asks."

"Didn't think you did, Professor," Cyclops said. "Question is who did, and whether they're watching us figure that out right now."

Invincible's cluster was full of joy and reunion between the old guardians who died facing Omni-Man, the new one plus those who died in duty like Rex and Japan Japandroid. Other teams were also there like Capes.

Mark, his voice caring authority plead for calm and observation. Immortal nodded. Terra joined Mark with Marky, both looking like teenagers but something was strange. They were stronger, stronger than when they were teens. Oliver agreed with their observation " I am not unhappy about it" while clenching his fists.

Mark Grayson and Rudy Connors

Something I liked in the comics is their confrontation and something I liked particularly was the morals.

Mark is a good guy but that's all for me because he when it matters or when he is not concerned, he is highly unreliable while making questionable choices that are never addressed ( the Invincible war and The great flood with Dinausorus). He keeps the moral high ground despite not being a model and is actively helped by the story e.i his imperial blood.

Robot on the other hand is not simply a machine but q human who process emotions like a machine and controls them to not get in the way of his goals. He can make questionable actions like early in the story like with Rex body but is always on the good side. However, with his life in the flaxan dimension, there is a shift. I won't say power corrupted him ( being king in that dimension was far from easy) but he definitely changed. Back on Earth, and with the multiple treats and particularly with Dinausorus, he thought changed were needed and overtake. While he did it in an horrible way, he created and utopia.

What do you think of the two of them?

Let's talk about Invincible's environment

People like Debbie or Eve are very good for Mark but there is the thing: They are enablers to Mark growth as a person and as an hero.

We saw how fast Eve went to help Mark against Conquest while he was inside during the Invincible war. In the episode of Powerplex, I still believe that Mark should have talk to Scott during the memorial. Instead his mother and Eve convinced him otherwise letting the situation worsen.

And this kind of lack of responsibility, i will say, concern the young heroes.

What do you think ?

The end of Robot makes me uncomfortable

I won't say that Robot was an angel but his fate for me sound like hypocrisy, slavery and robbery.

Robot for peace, killed heroes, villains, and that's a fact. But unlike what people say he was not a heartless, psychopath person but likely someone who knew the cost and the choice despite his emotional reluctance.

I would have been more okay if Mark killed him completely and build something on his own a true peace that reflected heroism, hope and humanity. Or ultimately collaborer. Instead, Mark made the choice he made, saying Robot was right. So what was the point of the Robot War? It was just personal on Mark side. Robot was right and not just power hungry, he saw the deep truth Mark wasn't Nolan(unable to compromise) and Robot was a treat for Mark's family and happy life.

I don't think that Adam is that bad of a dad

While I understand that he can be frustrating, I don't understand people saying that he is a bad person or abusive parent.

Most of the time, he only state facts. It is rough, yes, but not false or with the intent of causing harm. Concerning his relationship with Eve, people tend to forget that Eve is also hot headed and promt to confront.

Adam is a scared father who value accountability and responsibility on a world where superheroes exist and die. And that's why Eve is the heroine she is.

Also note that when she is down, her parents are always there.
