First Week

First Week

First week with this beast and I’m in love with it.

Tinted all windows, got two matte screen protectors for both screens, got mudflaps, got all weather floor mats, front bumper camera protector, turtle wax, foam soap, and a bunch of microfiber cloths. Looking to get a cool budget front lip in the near future.

If you recommend any other key accessories let me know.

PS: I’m not PPFing lol I’ve come to terms with the fact that cars are meant to be used. I can’t justify spending up to $8k on PPF.

Dashboard Display

Saw this on TikTok and I’d like to know where to get it but the dude is a cornball and is gatekeeping so hard for no reason.

Any Insurance Suggestions?

Recently moved to DC and everything was on track to get a new Model 3 but my insurance premium quote TRIPLED compared to my old address. I knew DC was expensive but jesus christ. I’m in my mid 20s and my driving record is clean. The monthly payment would be almost as much as the car payment lol so it would not be a wise financial decision. Does anyone know of a good provider that might have lower rates? If not, I’m afraid I won’t go through with it.

Front Bumper Camera Protector Inquiry

Will the Spigen Front Camera protector some of you talk about fit a 2026 Model 3 Premium RWD? On Amazon it's marketed for the Juniper Model Y, but I was wondering if they share the exact same hardware dimensions? will it fit a Model 3 camera? Here's the link. Apparently it's ventilated so I hope that reduces humidity retention. Thank you guys in advance.

Finally Decided on this Beautiful Machine

I just fell in love with this car, so I'm pulling the trigger on a 2026 Premium RWD. Question for owners: any regrets, things you wish were different, or things I should know before buying it? thank you. Will be my first brand new car as well.

Fine Line Between Treat and Bad Decision

Hi everyone, I’m currently 25, just graduated from grad school. $38k liquid, $30k between taxable brokerage and Roth IRA, and I only make about $40k a year.

I’ve been looking to buy a brand new car as a present to myself for graduating. They’re running a 1% interest promo and I test drove it and loved it.

With a hefty down payment of about $12.5-$13K, the monthly payment would be roughly $450 for 72 months. It would be my first brand new car ever. I understand it’s a depreciating asset and I’m not gaslighting myself into thinking it isn‘t. My current 15 year old sonata works fine other than some small converter issues worth about $1.5k to repair. The sole reason I’m thinking about the new car is because I want it and it’s fun to drive. I’m only thinking about it because I want to take advantage of such low rate.

My disposable income with the car payment would be of about $300-$500 each month, so I can still build savings and add on to my investments monthly. However, my savings will take a $13k hit and it‘d be my first long term loan commitment, as I have no other incurred debts.

Should I go for it or would it be a terrible mistake?

EDIT: Y’all talked sense into me lol. I let emotions take over reason for a minute. I apologize. Thank you.

I'm currently debating between a 2023 i4 e40 Drive or a 2026 Model 3. I've test driven the Model 3 and the tech is awesome but the interior and finish on the BMW looks so much better. I just wanted to know what's it like to own this vehicle and what to expect in terms of tech, reliability, charging, and service. I know it doesn't have FSD but smart cruise control and auto-park should work for me. I do have to consider that I live in an apartment complex in a walkable city with multiple Tesla superchargers, and I don't know how slow my charging speeds would be with a NACS adapter, so I know Tesla wins for convenience, but I'd like to know if the BMW benefits can outweigh that.

Politics aside, I objectively liked the Model 3 but if the i4 is worth sacrificing a little bit of convenience I'd rather choose the BMW. Any honest insights on this beautiful german car?

I test drove a Model 3 and FSD blew me away. However, I'd like to know your experience with this car, specifically the Highland refresh. Has it held up nicely throughout the years? any unexpected service appointments? is it reliable enough? I've been thinking about making the switch from an ICE vehicle to an EV for a while and I'm considering either a Model 3 or a used BMW i4. However, the current promotions on the Model 3 are tipping the scales for me, even if I like the interior and build quality of the BMW a little better, the M3 seems more convenient.
