Made a free universal remote app that controls Fire TV, and more from one screen. Would love your feedback.

Disclosure: I'm the developer of OmniRemote.

I've been working on OmniRemote because I wanted a TV remote that does more than just replicate the physical remote.

Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bluespacestudioz.omniRemote&pcampaignid=web_share

The app supports almost all major TV brands and platforms, with the available features depending on what the TV actually supports.

What OmniRemote offers

  • 📡 Automatic TV discovery — finds compatible TVs on your network
  • 🔐 Easy pairing — PIN/pairing support where available
  • 🎮 Full D-pad navigation
  • ⌨️ Phone keyboard for much faster typing
  • 🔊 Volume & mute controls
  • Power control
  • ▶️ Play, pause, rewind, fast-forward & media controls
  • 🎛️ Input/source selection where supported
  • 🚀 Quick Launch — open supported TV apps directly from your phone
  • 📱 Live installed-app list on supported platforms
  • 💾 Save multiple TVs/devices

I also want to be upfront about something: I'm not claiming OmniRemote is better than Amazon's official Fire TV remote. Their remote is specifically built for Fire TV, while OmniRemote is trying to be a universal solution across almost all major brands.

My goal is to make OmniRemote as reliable and feature-rich as possible, while continuing to improve it with every update.

I can't personally test every Fire TV device and TV combination, so that's why I'm sharing it here.

If you try it, I'd love to know:

If something doesn't work, please tell me what happened. There are plenty of TV models I can't personally test, so real-world feedback helps me improve compatibility.
