Hi guys, I recently bought a Weber master touch and and pleased to say I’ve had plenty of use out of it so far! However I’ve been relying on the lid thermometer but from what I understand this isn’t ideal

I’m looking for advice as to what other people do around this and any thermometer recommendations would be greatly appreciated

I’ve never had a bbq before, I’ve been thinking about getting something that would allow me to both bbq and smoke meat and after a few beers I’ve ended up buying one despite having no idea what I’m doing!

Any tips/recommendations for a complete beginner would be very much appreciated!
