Why is Hawaii (Oahu) so anti ear piercings for babies? After researching myself I chose not to do it til my child is older (it can get crooked or uneven as their ears grow) I’m still not sure why nobody wants to do it unless they’re 10 and up. It’s just not like this in CA so it intrigues me and wondering what other people who live here think about it!
Title says it all for the most part and just checking in with other parents to see if it’s normal.
My babies wake windows are about an hour long and then she starts cueing for a nap, so she’s on about 4 full naps per day. Are we just supposed to spend most of our time at home during this season? Does anyone have ideas of what we can do outside at this age?
She JUST started to be able to fall asleep in her car seat so maybe I can begin to get away with more outings? Not super sure yet though.
FTM, always exclusively pumped aside from the two days we spent in the hospital after birth. She came at 37w + 2 days, I was induced and had an easy birth.
I noticed my baby becoming irritated, bloated, and had a very hard time passing gas around 3 weeks pp but thought it was normal. She was so unhappy every single day up until two weeks ago. It took me forever to figure out what was wrong (diet changes, new nipple sizes, feeding positions) and then recently realized maybe my milk does not have enough fat for the volume being produced. We are 10 weeks old/pp and that discomfort still seems to be there, so unfortunately I had to switch to gentle formula which relieved all these problems within the first day. A literal game changer.
Will she ever be able to have my milk? I ended up donating some of my freezer stash and it was totally fine for that baby…it made me feel so sad that my own baby isn’t benefitting from it like that.
