Maybe random but since everyone is doing everything DYI, has anyone tried doing the Brazilian keratin at home? The one that straightens the hair and lasts for months?

Is there a brand of tox with a QR code on it so I can verify its authenticity?

Background: I am based in Germany and customs have been causing issues for many of us here so I will be ordering to another country. Unfortunately, few of the websites that are discussed and approved here, don’t ship there. Therefore, I’ll be choosing a less known website for tox. Because of this, I want to be cautious and ordered a brand of tox with a QR code to make sure it’s not “a fake”. Thanks!!

I’m 29 and don’t have any issues with my skin, more so doing everything preventatively so I don’t need top notch products yet.

Does anyone know a specific product of a good quality available within EU? Preferably Estetik PL or something similar. Alternatively a US site, I can arrange that.

The confusion of the new, overlapping-experience rule aside, is anyone else surprised by the fact that from now on, only studies count as an international experience?

“International experience
Experiences that have taken place outside of your home country, your home country being the country of the nationality declared in your application. This concerns only studies abroad, school exchanges and mobility programmes.”

Why are they doing this?

I have a lot of work experience abroad and I am genuinely confused why they changed it as this, in my opinion, proves that one can work in a multicultural and multilingual environment which is the whole essence of working in EU. Or am I missing something?

They count both degrees and professional experience as an international experience. If I have a degree that I gained outside my country entirely, as well as my almost finished ongoing master studies, do I list it twice in the pdf? Under education and other international experience? Or will they automatically count it even if it’s only under education?

I am trying to build an oiling routine. I have oily scalp and drier hair, especially the ends which are growing out (I used to bleach my hair), I have fine hair and on the thinner side.

It is low porosity so I feel like the oil doesn’t penetrate as well. I wet it before I apply the oils for about 20-30 min before shower, but I was wondering if heat would help too and if yes, how do you do this?

I use a mix of jojoba, rosemary and pumpkin oils for scalp, and jojoba, coconut and castor oils for the lengths.

I am currently about to start my master thesis and plan to finish it in February. I also plan to apply for the next BBT session starting March 1st. The problem is, it takes around 6 weeks for the evaluation to be finished and only after that I can have my final oral exam to defend it, meaning it would only take place after BBT start.

My question is, how flexible are the DGs with the leave? If I need two days off in March already for this oral exam (will have to travel back to my country for it), is it possible they will not let me?

Should I submit my thesis later and then schedule my exam for April / May?

I have been to CBT therapy in the past and it helped to some extent but I wanted to go back to therapy and try a different approach to try to see if that would help too, as well as challenge myself and just get to know myself better.

However, it’s very very challenging and difficult which I don’t mind in long term but it’s very frustrating at the same time while in session. Sometimes I honestly don’t have anything to say because I can’t even “listen” to myself and instead my thoughts and overthinking completely override any efforts of mine. My therapist sometimes doesn’t say anything and that’s really uncomfortable as well because I feel like I’m losing precious time I have with her. I had my fifth session today and I feel like I’m not making any progress. Is there a book that can help with?

I’m based in Germany and attended and passed French B2 class at the university with a grade of 1.7. If I ask the language institute at the university for some kind of reference, a certificate of achievement / completion, will this count for the blue book? It is not the official DELF certificate.

Just wanted to share my experience for the people in the same boat, who might be wondering if they are all eligible as a student, receiving Bafög at that. I am an EU citizen, I also work as a research assistant at the university, however, you can imagine how “much” my income is. Not to mention my Bafög is always only valid for one year, and my contract gets renewed every 6-8 months since it always depends on the university’s finances.

My timeline:

(June 2016 – August 2018: worked in Germany fulltime
August 2018 – March 2019: left Germany)

Since March 2019: have lived in Germany, this is where my time spent in Germany starts pretty much, as the time before got “cancelled”
From March 2019 to April 2021: worked fulltime
Since April 2021: have been studying fulltime
October 2024: sent an email requesting an appointment
February 2025: received an appointment for May 6th
May 6th 2025: submitted all the paperwork (German C1, no Einbürgerungstest as I studied political science in my BA)
May 7th 2026: was asked to send valid Immatrikulationsbescheinung, Bafög and Arbeitsvertrag
May 20th 2026: got an email confirmation regarding the paperwork and confirmation that they were going to grant me the citizenship and that I was going to receive an invitation email soon
May 27th 2026: got an email about my ceremony which will take place on June 9th.

YAAAY!

Long story short: even if you don’t earn as much as a student and your contracts are not unbefristet, it’s possible to get your citizenship!

wir beabsichtigen Sie einzubürgern, hierzu erhalten Sie gesondert eine Einladung.“

Die nachträgliche Unterlagen wurden 12 Monaten nach dem ursprünglichen Termin angefordert, jetzt habe ich diese Email bekommen. Weißt jemand vielleicht, wie lange es jetzt noch bis zu der Einladung dauern wird? Ich wohne in Mainz.
