Advise on Masters Program in Germany

Hello everyone! I recently learned about the opportunities for international students in Germany and exchange organizations such as DAAD and became really interested in the possibility of pursuing my master’s degree in Germany starting next year. I have a degree in Biology, and I’m currently starting to look into what options might be available to me. I’m still very new to the whole process, so I’d really appreciate hearing from any International students who has experience with the process of applying to study in Germany.

The Worst Part About Job Hunting

Is that we compete against hundreds if not thousands of candidates for a single position, yet in no part of the hiring process are we able to know anything about their background or performance. It's just like, in a video game when you are in a match against CPUs who have no identity and are there to simply to compete against you.

I have no idea on what I should even do...

8 months ago I graduated with a Bachelors in Biology. I wanted to work in a lab to start off my career. I applied to not only in biotech companies, but also hospitals and universities. And after hundreds of applications through job posting sites, emails, job fairs, and everything; I landed very few interviews and ultimately nothing in return. I'm extremely burnt out and have practically given up on looking for a position.

At the moment my parents keep pushing me to go to medical school, but I don't want to at the moment. Medical school is difficult, very expensive, and takes so much time. I've just spent decades in school already and am tired of studying to get the best grades. Plus it's not like I can even go to medical school soon anyway, I need to do something now.

I'm so lost at what to do. I really want is to move on with my life but I can't. The job market is so competitive and filled with deceit and insincere positivity. It feels like my life hit a pause button and I can't unpause.

No clue on what I want to do in the future...

I graduated 8 months ago with a Bachelors in Biology and spent most of my year just looking for a job. I applied hundreds of times at CROs, universities, and hospitals. I tried connecting through a variety of different ways and after all of that I barely got any interviews and am still sitting at home. I'm at the end of my breaking point and just have no clue what to do.

My parents really keep pushing me to go to medical school, but I don't want to at the moment. Not only did I just spend decades in school already, but medical school is very long-term, difficult, and crazy expensive. Plus it's not like I can even go to medical school soon anyway, I need to do something now.

I'm so lost at what to do. I really want to move on with my life but I can't. The job market is so competitive and filled with deceit and insincere positivity. I don't mean to get so deep, but I feel like my life hit a pause button and there is nothing for me to look forward in my day.

WiFi issues on Linux Mint

So I installed Linux Mint early in 2026 and while I occasionally had some minor network issues, it was never anything too bad and the network worked at normal speeds. However around a month ago, the WiFi on my Linux PC became very slow, where it is barely usable. It only maxes out on 20 Mbps, but it can even get as low <1Mbps. Any other device I use has no issues and can get multiple times that.

My USB WiFi Adaptor is TP-Link Archer T3U Plus. There are no settings blocking its abilities and I already have the rtx88 driver for it. I still downloaded a community-made driver to try to fix it, but the result is the same and fixed nothing. I'm really hoping for some solution now since I don't even know what caused this issue to begin with and is making my Linux PC unusable at this point.

WiFi not working well with Linux

WiFi on Linux has slowed down dramatically

I installed Linux Mint a while back and while I occasionally had some minor network issues, it was never anything too bad and the network worked at normal speeds. Recently starting some weeks ago the WiFi on my Linux PC became very slow, like annoyingly slow. I only max out on 20 Mbps, when any other device I use can get multiple times that. Nothing is blocking the abilities of my USB WiFi adaptor and I already have the rtx88 driver for my USB WiFi adaptor. I still downloaded a community-made driver to try to fix it, but the result is the same and fixed nothing. I'm really hoping for some solution now since I don't even know what caused this issue to begin with.
