If you made a mistake talk to them

I see too many people on here that apparently messed up but aren’t doing anything about it. Reach out. Call or text them. Just do it. Maybe they have been wanting to hear from you.

Blocked is the ONLY strong signal to NOT reach out. Any other message you might have been left with shouldnt be the end all deciding factor. Especially if you were pushing them away, you need to understand they said and did what they had to, probably not what they wanted to.

Be brave. Reach out. Dont wait until too much time has passed.

Just want to talk about WHY it would feel good for me to share the info with him that he is a fearful or dismissive avoidant

TLDR: Im not the type to bite my tongue and NOT address the elephant in the room. If the person is unaware of this, at least they got the information from me. Whether they become defensive, shut down, ignore it or do something about it is up to them. The choice is theirs.

A while back he mentioned he think he might have autism. I dont think he does but either way, that was kind of an indicator hes slightly aware something about him is different. He has asked me before if I think Im abnormal. I forget my answer but he said he thinks he is. I've done what some of you have done on here and went the Chatgpt route and made it so it talks like a psychologist who specializes in attachment theory. Ive looked up countless things online that pretty much say "dont do it". I think what grinds my gears SO BADLY is that this person (and probably most if not all avoidants) will always come up with their own shitty reasons for why they needed to discard/dispose you so ruthlessly. And usually, its US. We werent good enough, we were too much, we were too little, we wanted commitment etc. Or wrong timing or its not morally right, etc. I hate that he walks away from all this thinking "this isnt a me problem" when at least 50 percent of it IS him/the avoidant. I dont like that someone i found important, meaningful and deeply connected with walks away holding onto that idea that belief. That our history gets reduced and finalized to an incorrect and fucking false story.

And like ive mentioned, i know they could shut down and become defensive. That he would basically not listen to anything i say. Again, that is HIS choice. He COULD still walk away saying "this is exactly why i chose to leave in the first place" i know no matter what you 100 percent lose with an avoidant. but i genuinely feel like, "well i did my part, cant control what he does from here"

I dont know if I will or wont do it but when I eventually reach out one last time to him, itll be months from now anyway. Im not looking for advice on whether to do any of this. I just need to talk about it somewhere.

Beginner need tips to do the double hammer on for Schism by Tool. D string 0h3h5

I think I can do a single hammer on just fine. But trying to hit the open string then hammer on both 3rd and 5th fret with those two notes ringing out Im massively struggling with. Im hoping to get some tips besides "itll come with time and practice". I have watched Axe of Creation and Guitar Lessons 365 and the Marty guy for Schism. What happens is I hit the open string and theres a delay because im "winding up" to strike down the 3rd fret, hold that hard so that when i strike down the 5th fret that rings out too. I see Axe of Creation do the "roll on" and my teacher said that I need to almost "flop down my fingers" when i go from 3rd to 5th fret. I have a fender mustang lt 25 amp, I have dual humbuckers that are seymour duncans (from previous owner). I can crank up the volume but still struggle with those notes comes out strong enough and hitting them down fast. I have to really focus and concentrate when i strike down the 3rd fret AND when I strike down the 5th.
