Rainy day business.
I don't know where he stashes these, but he pulls them out on rainy days to chew 🤣 Judge 15mo

So about a year and a half ago one of my hens got an impacted crop. Which ended up turning into sour crop, which is like a yeast infection. First time I ever had one like that so the first time I didn't recognize it until I found her laying in the corner of the coop very ill. Well she miraculously healed. But it stretched her crop out a good bit so now it's slightly pendulous. Which makes it empty a little more slowly. About 6 months or so after that so about a year ago, I noticed she wasn't hopping up on the perch to roost at night. Felt her crop and sure enough it was squishy and full again. So back up to the deck we went for more medicine. She got better much quicker that time. Fast forward a year and we haven't had any problems. Last night when all the chickens go to roost my son said, why is there chicken out there roosting on the porch couch end? I said is she dark gray? Yep. I said I bet I know who that is. Went out there and there's Nadia, crop feeling squishy. She reported to the deck to let me know she needed medicine 😯
And the bag is empty. Snip. It is finished.
He stole a fly trap out of the barn and became one with it. He smells like a rotting corpse. I will never roll my eyes over mud again...
Judge is 12mo. and still likes fetch. Granted, you can't sit on your ass while playing. But he hasn't outgrown it so far...
I love this wonderful boy💋
You know why they call *it* a cock? Because that's what takes care of the ladies...😆 This rooster spends all day in total 100% focus of taking care of his girls. If that's protecting them, he protects them. If they're floundering and jumping up and down trying to grab a low hanging peach, he reaches up and rips that peach apart in pieces so they can all have some. If one is stressing and squawking because she needs to lay but she doesn't want to go all the way down to the nesting boxes, he finds her a spot. He shows her. He gets in there and lays down. He gets her to come in there. And when she doesn't lay down and it's not working for her he does it over and over again without ever losing patience. Even while having to run and attend to the rest of the group and come back and try again. He won't eat a blackberry until they're over him feeding them blackberries. If they're starting to get testy with each other, causing too much chaos or lagging behind in a way that disrupts society, his ultimate ace up his sleeve is tickling their tail with his...❣️😉 He is completely and entirely devoted to taking care of his girls. If you're no rooster don't tell me you have a cock... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So this is not my first Pyrenees. Just my first one like this. My others have been pretty chill and independent. My boy is chill, he'll be a year old tomorrow. No separation anxiety or anything. But I'm like gosh, what do you have doodle in you? Personal space buddy!
Right at my feet while I'm trying to do everything. Bend over to pick something up, he's trying to sniff or lick my face or nuzzle my ear. I'm walking across the yard, ass wiggling backwards in front of me staring at me like I have a piece of bacon on my forehead. Either that or he's behind me boop punching me in the ass while I walk through the house. He absolutely cannot get a drink of water without immediately coming and boop licking my leg to clean his face. I go to sit on the porch and have a drink and his chest is against my knees with his face just hovering in front of me staring at me like I love you I love you I love you. I get up to water plants and he instantly activates, jumping straight to a stand like where we going now? Oh I'm just going to walk 4 ft over here and pick up the hose muh man. After I feed him he leans into me and throws his head around and humps the air like "that was the best dinner ever"!!! Get out of the shower, strong boop punch to the crotch. I have to basically sit still and be boring for him to go do something with himself.
I feel like he's hovering me how you do a kid who just learned to walk. He's learned the command back off just by constant need for repetition! This behavior has only been going on for a couple months and it's driving me nuts! My husband is like why is he so obsessed with you!? He said if he were a human you'd have to get a restraining order. 😆 Anybody else had a Pyrenees like this? Everyone I've had has been great with personal space at any age. Please tell me it's age and it will go away... 😩
**When I tell him to back off he instantly jumps away and lowers his head like, oops sorry, I did it again. Almost like he can't help it. Which is why I'm hoping its hormones and will help when he's old enough to neuter. It truly feels like I'm being helicopter parented.
So I've been grooming for 18 years. And I have come up with so many of my own unique tips and tricks I use for a lot of different things. One thing I still have to leave undone sometimes is those little upper lip hairs that get licked into the mouth. Obviously this is not a problem on a dog that will let you do their face. And I do have many holding techniques for the ones that are wiggly about it but every once in awhile you have those dogs that between the balking and licking you just can't get those hairs safely done. Does anyone have a tip that works safely every time no matter how hard the dog tries to prevent it? Or are you just going to have a couple where you've got to let it go? Even after 18 years I'm always wondering if there are tips and tricks that work every time that I haven't thought of lol!
So I got some paw prints and we made Mom and Dad something on his 20-minute break
At almost 11 months we have our manners now, so we get to join 😆 not that he was ever bad. But it took him a minute to understand horses don't do butt sniffing, it's not part of their social etiquette lol! But there's been a lot of rain and we've done a lot of rolling. It's a nice sunny day so the boys are getting together ❣️
That's my 90 lb puppy who found it. It was placed back in the woods to move on about its way. Just had to take a few pictures because it was so massive!
