Anybody on here in the viral/novelty e-commerce space targeting the Pinoy market?

Long story short, I have a handful of online media brands with over 2M social followers with one in particular that can be used to sell novelty and viral products.

Instead of going through the entire process of building the product catalog and sourcing suppliers, I'd rather focus on my core which is in marketing (which includes content and social media).

That said, I'm looking for someone who's already in the viral/novelty e-commerce space to partner with.

Please DM if this is something you'd like to discuss further.

Grab Food Merchants - do you notice a ceiling in sales?

To business owners of food businesses here who's selling on Grab Food as well, have you noticed there's a ceiling of your Grab Sales?

I can't seem to break beyond 150k/month from Grab Food and I'm now thinking there's a ceiling if you don't spend/buy the myriad of ads they have been pushing.

Nothing new. Just a validation of what many have been saying on here.

Question is, where to next? Fiverr is worse for someone only looking for long term freelance work.

I wish there was a payoneer/wise version of upwork. I just love how payoneer/wise killed the highway robbery that was paypal.

AI is making Scammers Look SUPER LEGIT THESE DAYS

So I've posted last week about an obvious scam email about a job offer. It was quite obvious for a number of reasons including:

  1. It didn't use a branded email
  2. No link to the job post
  3. No name anywhere on the email (very imformal)

This time around, these scammers could be listening and taking notes as they have drastically upped their game on this one.

  1. They are now using a branded email
  2. They now have a legit looking website

How did I know its a scam? I have to dig deeper.

  1. The name of the email address and the salutation's name are different - red flag na.
  2. The email went to spam on Gmail - but sometimes first time emails can end up here.
  3. No linkedin profile for company.
  4. No linkedin profile for all the executives of the said company.
  5. I did a whois lookup for their domain and found out it was just created this month!

BE VERY CAREFUL OUT THERE!

Grabi these scammers are taking advantage of our desperation so please be extra vigilant!

Also, OLJ seriously sold our details!

Our OnlineJobs.ph Data Has Been SOLD to Scammers?

How on earth did these scammers/spammers get a hold of our OLJ emails and other personal information?

Be warned folks. Telltale signs I'm seeing here are:

  1. generic free email account instead of branded account
  2. Fake news or no names at all
  3. No company background

What else did you spot?

Who TF Spends $37.50 Just to Apply for a Job?

Saw this job post on Upwork and it shook me for awhile. Is this even real?!

Might as well pay myself that 2,400 than be one of 100s to apply on a job that has no guarantees of lasting?

Legit or just another user acquisition strategy to gain them app users and more data?

Why would a supposedly legit company take the time to make a Linkedin job post and then reply with a message to an applicant via linkedin message only to direct the applicant to another platform to apply again?

Do you also feel the same way?

Just to single out the basic right to a nuisance free living condition, I've seen so many news of another Filipino needing to attack (shoot, etc.) another Filipino just so he could live in peace in his own neighborhood.

It feels like in most parts of our country, there's simply just no implementation of existing laws to help us live in peace especially these days where it's so much cheaper to get a hold of electronics.

Again, this goes for any other basic right like clean and orderly neighborhood, privacy, even education for goodness sake.

Why do we even allow the people we pay to continue to do nothing about these basic rights?
