I have been listening to AIC for a couple of months but just watched Mad Season's performance at the Moore recently.

Wake up is absolutely incredible. Layne was clearly struggling during that time but he was still able to perform such a deeply personal, vulnerable song.

This is despite the fact that his health was a subject of cruel media speculation.

When he sings "for a little peace from God, you plead, it sounds like he is truly begging for relief from his suffering.

Even during his times of struggle, Layne still had the most amazing and powerful voice.

Rest in peace Layne.
