13yo trying to make rock music at home with basic equipment [START]

I'm 13 and I'm trying to start making my own rock/indie music at home.

I'm a drummer and that's the only instrument I really know how to play. I have an acoustic drum kit, my dad's acoustic guitar, a CUVAVE pedal that I can use to make the guitar sound more like an electric guitar or bass, a Casio keyboard with around 400 sounds, a computer and some microphones my dad has.

I can play a few simple guitar chords, but I can't play a whole song yet. I mostly use the guitar to add some body to a song or make simple/improvised guitar parts with the pedal.

I also have basically no experience with recording, editing or mixing. I don't really know how to play keyboard either, so I'd probably use it for little sounds and effects rather than actually playing full songs.

I'm from Brazil, and I only have this equipment because my dad has a band. Music equipment is pretty expensive here, so I'm trying to learn how to make music with what I already have instead of buying a bunch of stuff.

For people who started making music at home, what did you learn first? How did you go from just playing instruments to actually making a complete song?

Any advice would be really appreciated!

# 13yo trying to start making indie/rock music — any tips?

I'm 13 years old and I'm from Brazil. Recently I got very interested in making my own music at home, like a bedroom producer.

I really like classic rock and indie music, specially The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Wings, Queen . I want to start producing my own songs, but I'm basically a complete beginner.

The things I have right now are:

  • An acoustic drum kit (the only instrument I actually know how to play)
  • An acoustic guitar from my dad
  • A CUVAVE pedal, which I can use to make the guitar sound more like an electric guitar or bass
  • A Casio keyboard with around 400 different sounds
  • A computer
  • Some microphones my dad has

I don't know how to play guitar very well. I can play some simple chords, not enough to play a entire song, but enough to make the song more full and add some acoustic guitar or improvised guitar parts with the pedal.

I also have absolutely no idea how to play keyboard. I think I could use it more for sound effects, weird sounds and little parts instead of actually playing full songs or having it playing in the background, because I don't have the skill for that yet.

I'm also not really sure how I could record the keyboard. It has an audio output that I think I can connect to the CUVAVE, so maybe that could be useful, but I don't really understand how that works yet.

I also have basically zero experience with music production, editing and mixing, so I don't really know where I should start.

I want to try making music with what I already have, because buying music equipment is very expensive here in Brazil. I only have this stuff because my dad has a band and already had a lot of it.

So, if you make music at home, what tips would you give to someone starting with basic equipment? What should I learn first? Any tips about songwriting, recording, arranging or producing would be really helpful.

Thanks!

Can someone help me

I am trying to map my small hometown in Brazil named Candido Godoi, but it is my first time using OpenStreetMap. I wonder if someone can give me some tips, and I would be very thankful if someone could help even more by mapping it with me.
