The best item I have gotten from a claw arcade in awhile.

I'm currently in Vancouver for medical appointments and I spent the afternoon at the Metropolis Mall. There's an arcade there that's all claw machines where you win plushies then trade them in for other prizes if you want. I do not have a lot of room in my suitcase so I traded all the plushies I won for these two items. This mini claw keychain is the best thing I've gotten from an arcade in a long time. 😂 I could play with this for hours. The claw is actually really strong for its size, it's literally stronger than a lot of the actual claw games I played today. 😅

Pleasantly surprised with the articulation.

Just got Dinobot today and I adore him. Absolutely love how he looks, super simply to assemble, and moreso, I was very surprised how well he poses! I have a lot of figures that have a lot of articulation and are supposed to pose, but when you try they either can't hold it or they fall apart. Really happy to see how well he keeps a pose. I bought Dinobot just to see if I would even like Yolopark figures, and after this I absolutely need to have the whole set. I will seriously cry if they don't make Rattrap. 😂

When everything appears normal at first glance.

I was at the local thrift store talking to a coworker friend, when a pony on the counter caught my eye. Aside from being a fakie, everything seemed normal until I flipped her over...

I exclaimed, "Oh! A visual representation of my ocular migraine!" 😂

It was a care bear kinda day.

Felt like making a Care Bear page in my scrapbook. Really liked the art on the plushie box so I had to use it.

Want to complete Moon 2... Would it matter much if I mix languages?

Moon 2 in English seems to be impossibly hard to find in Canada now, and I'm frustrated as I have like 70% of the set and I really want to complete it. I do not care at all about resale/value/etc, I just really want to collect all the cards in the set. I care about the art above all else lol. Are there different cards in each language? I don't think Moon 2 has much writing... Is the writing in other languages as well? Thanks for any info!

My first Care Bear since childhood. Saw it in our catalogue, couldn't resist.

So about 2 weeks ago I posted how I work at Home Hardware, and some Care Bears popped up in our HomeInfo catalogue. I couldn't resist getting one for myself, the bucket hat is just too cute. Even tho I'm a fan, I haven't actually owned a Care Bear plush since I was a child. I have different figures and keychains, but not a plush. So I think this is a good one to start with.

If you have a Home Hardware near you, the SKU for this little bear is #7279-416. If they don't have it in stock, you can request a special order to be made and the staff will bring it in for you, no extra charge. Just a heads up if any Canadians are looking for this bear.

I had to leave early due to migraine yesterday so I couldn't start receiving our freight, so I can just imagine my coworkers face when he pulled this out of a box. Most likely eyerolled when he saw the note said me. I have a habit of finding and ordering the weird stuff. 😂😅

First ever train ride, Seattle to San Jose- 24 hours

A month ago my husband and I had to go to California to see his parents. We're from the Yukon, and the state of American air travel had us worried (SFO & Air Canada have been plagued with delays/cancellation, etc), so we decided to try the train. Flew to Vancouver via Air North, hopped the Amtrak bus to Seattle, then onto the Coast Starlight for a 24 hour excursion. I gotta say, even with all the jumping around it was so worth it! Ultimately it was about the same price as flying from Vancouver to San Francisco, once you add in all the time delays for customs, plane switches, hotels, travel from SFO to his parents town, etc.

The train was really nice. We got a roommette, he took top bunk, I had the seats. The beds were hard as a rock so I barely slept, but honestly... I can't sleep on planes or most hotels either. The food was fantastic, the dining and observation cars were lovely. We really enjoyed sharing tables with strangers. We met a bunch of really interesting people, had some great talks. I'm by no means outgoing, but the whole atmosphere made me feel comfortable. And that was to me, the biggest thing. Airports are rushing, stress, or just hours of waiting. The bus/train were quick, and so laid back. The crew was friendly and everyone just felt... At ease. Calmer. It wasn't a feeling of hurry up panic I always feel on planes. Being able to wander, go get snacks anytime, or just chill and watch the world bo by... It felt peaceful. I really loved the private room, we could talk in peace, nap, or even quietly game or watch videos on our laptops without bothering anyone

The public bathroom was... A thing. 😂 It wasn't bad, or even dirty, it was just tiny as hell, and the faucet only had one option: pressure washer. Turn that bugger on and you're taking an unintended shower. So I quickly learned how to cup my hand around it and turn it just the tiniest smidgen. But still, you often had to dry the place before you left... Or entered if someone else didn't bother.

On the way home, we flew from San Jose to Seattle- then took the Cascades train to Vancouver, using business class. If you're ever on a short haul and can upgrade to business - *do it*. It was $100/per person for us, and hot damn it was way nicer than the bus! Big comfy seats, still have free reign of the train if you wanna go get snacks... And best of all, first off to go through customs so no waiting!

After having time to reflect on it, I think I would love to do it again, maybe across Canada, but with two caveats. One would be to bring a foamie or something to help my back, and two would be upgrade to one with a private bathroom. I felt bad sneaking out in the middle of the night to use it, there's just no possible way to be quiet, and I could hear everyone else doing the same. Next time though, I also want to try the observation cars for longer, we barely got a chance to go. It filled up *fast*.

Attached controller for the Fold7?

The one thing I'd love to do with this fold is game, but every type of controller I've found that mounts to it uses the USB to plug in on the right side of the controller. Which would be fine except it makes it so the fold screen goes lower than your hands. It's very off balance an annoying. If it was on the left, it'd be so much better as then the screen would rest higher, much like Nintendo DS.

Are they're any controllers like this, that I'm just not finding? Or ones that maybe have their own battery? Sure, I have an XBox Elite controller for Steam I next to never use- but that's the thing, often when I wanna game on the phone, I have nowhere to set it for tabletop mode, like in a car. I do a bit of long distance travel so it'd be awesome to have like an all in one I guess. I have the original Switch (like, near release day version), and it still works but it's combersome... And my vision has gotten so much worse over the years, the Fold7 just seems to have a nicer big screen that I feel I'm under utilizing right now.

Anywho, sorry for the ramble. Migraine does that. Appreciate any thoughts to make this phone more gaming compatible.

So many pins, yet I feel like I'll never completely fill the board.

Actually managed to get some decent pics of the board. It's funny, the other night I realized just how many of my interests are still missing from the board. I'm going to focus on finding those type of pins.

I can't even remember when/where I bought this if I'm honest. I'm just wondering if this is a deck worth keeping whole in its little box, or are all the cards not worth much and ok to split them up? I can't find much about these cards. I ask because I collect the Pikachu family cards, and I would like to put the Raichu and Pikachu cards into my 'Chu binder... But I realize these cards are technically reprints from other sets, so I'm wondering if it's a better idea to just get those. I'd appreciate any opinions. I'm going through my collection and organizing it, and it's just such a weird little oddball I dunno what to do with it. Thanks for reading!

Part of me wants to let him sleep.

The part of me he wakes up every night at 3am does not.

I live in a tiny rural northern Canadian town. We have 1 grocery store, and 2 gas stations. The bigger of the two is also a general store & restaurant with all sorts of nonsense (the owner just kinda... Buys stuff 😂). I stopped in today to pickup breakfast, and saw these over by the snack isle. Thought they were funny and had to share. Not that I partake in this particular activity... But uh... I guess this is a thing? 😅🤣
