Just wanted to provide an update since there hasn't been one in quite a long time. This sub is very lightly moderated, as most subs should be. In general, I'm not looking to police things as long as it isn't spam, low effort/unrelated content, or anything breaking site rules.

However, with the rise of AI content, I'd like to institute a new rule that anything AI generated will result in a ban. There's no reason for any of it in this sub, or in general. Keep it to the 70s and we'll be fine.

I'd also like to ask if there's anything else that needs my attention in regards to rules, content, sub suggestions, etc.

6 of us are going on a float trip the 2nd weekend of July and wanted to get some opinions on doing a raft vs kayaks/canoes. We're planning on floating Cedar Grove to Akers ferry, or Pulltite to Round Spring. I personally think 6 people in a raft might be too cramped, and it has always seemed like a pain to navigate, so I'm leaning towards a mix of canoes and kayaks. I know some places have 8 person rafts, but again, it seems like it might be too cramped and a PITA to navigate.

Looking for some cheap dive bars around midtown showing Knicks vs Spurs game 5 tonight. Mainly anyplace with cheap tallboy Hamms/PBR. Wanting to avoid typical sports bars like John's or the Quaff.

My friends and I are looking at float trips on the Current river. We're planning on rafting and aiming to spend around 6 hours on the water. I see Cedar Grove to Akers Ferry is 8 miles, and Pulltite to Round Spring is 9 miles. The time range seems to vary quite a bit depending on which outfitter you're looking at, so does anyone have experience they could share? Also open to other routes if something fits our parameters better. Thanks!

Hey all, I'm planning a float trip for a group of 5 (late 20s/early 30s) this summer and and wanted to get some recommendations for lodging/outfitters. We're located in KC and don't mind driving a few hours (4-6) away if needed.

We did NRO last year, and while fun, we're looking for something with less of a party atmosphere. So far I've been looking at floats on the Current/Jack's Fork, Elk River, Meremac, Huzzah, and North Fork of the White. Those are just the places I've seen recommended here before, but I'm happy to look elsewhere. Ideally looking for a float under 8 hours in length.

I know lodging at most places will already be booked, so if there's a particularly great outfitter, we'll find somewhere to stay nearby and drive-in. Our primary goal is just to get some time on the river, take in the scenery, and relax.
