A Few Questions about Pulls and Leveling Up

I've been playing this game for almost a week now and I have a few questions:

  1. I noticed that lustrous tides are very hard to come by. Is this actually normal? I read that you shouldn't convert astrites to them, so I've just been using whatever amount of lustrous tides they gave me.

  2. Are there any good estimates of how fast should you be getting astrites to ensure a pity? For example, after 5-7 days, I'm currently sitting at ~6k astrites. Not sure if this is good or slow?

  3. Is it recommended to level up the non 5☆ basic resonators (e.g. the rover-yangyang-chixia initial team) and the 3☆/4☆ weapons to progress the main story? I feel like I should save the resources for better characters/weapons, but if I'm not progressing the story, then I can't get more astrites easily, which means I can't pull for better characters/weapons. As a context, I'm currently at the Mt. Firmament storyline, which seems to require my resonators to be around Lv. 50~55 to stand a chance.

About GPT's storywriting capabilities

The image shows a snippet of a short story I told GPT to write based on my prompt.

So, why exactly does the current model love those kind of one-liners when writing stories? I compared it to a past 4.0 archived chat and.....well, let's just say that this current model is very, very lazy (and dry) when it comes to writing stories.

How much do they like this game to go this far?

The pictures are the profiles of the players with the UF umas (from the dream team event).

As you can see, the number of careers done are.....ridiculously high (obviously from trying to highroll with guts deck). I have been playing since the first kitasan banner and only have slightly more than 900, yet they easily have more than several times my completed careers.

I just wonder how much do they like this game and how often exactly do they play to complete so much careers.

The extent of how much GPT doesn't want to agree with you

I noticed that even when GPT agrees with you, it has to invent something so that it doesn't 100% agree. The chat goes approximately like this nonsense:

User : I think [something] is bad in [a situation] because [reasons].

GPT : I think it's a solid view, but I'd like to push back slightly because [reasons for completely different and irrelevant hypothetical situations the user didn't even mention]. But for your [the user's situation & reason], I think it's an acceptable view.

GPT just can't seem to agree with the user

The title says it, really.

Whatever I say to it, it has to debate the topic. It just has to "push back".

Even when it agrees, it attacks my wording/phrasing in the guise of "reframing" or "polishing".

It's kind of amazing how much GPT has declined in quality since 4.0 a year ago.

Low guts for CM16 (?)

Long story short, I simply don't have the patience to grind this accursed scenario anymore, let alone with guts deck (guts deck can go to hell) which is rumored to be the norm for the 2nd Leo cup.

How detrimental would low guts (say, ~600-700) in this CM be, assuming maxed speed, power, wit?

For context, I'm not exactly looking to get platinum. I'll be satisfied with group B finals.

GPT is a contrarian (?)

So, sometimes, I tell GPT an opinion or a random passing thought.

However, I noticed a trend that all of GPT's response is basically "Correct, but ....". No matter what the prompt is, it just seem it has to 90% agree but still fault it.

Not that I'm demanding it to be a sycophant, since I did ask what it thought about the prompt. But no matter how much I argue and rebuke its counterpoints, it just has to find a fault somewhere. It's pretty annoying, honestly.

A very baffling thing

Sometimes I really can't help but be more convinced that the cards are actively trying to sabotage the run when this kind of thing happen.

It's very baffling that four cards of the same type can just decide to gather on the wrong training instead of their supposed training.

"Conversation not found" bug

I use the temporary chat feature a lot for prompts or questions which are meant to be brief.

However, I noticed that every once in a while, it just won't continue with a "conversation not found" error.

Honestly, this is rather annoying. The guardrail is one thing, but this is honestly such a pathetic flaw.

LoH for non-front users?

From what I've heard, front runners will dominate LoH.

So, as someone who won't be focusing on front runners, this got me thinking : in order to do well in LoH, does this mean we should still somewhat invest in front cards? (E.g. by getting Smaru speed and/or bourbon wit from the anniv selectors). Or can you still do just as well with pace?

This should be illegal

I can understand cards not always appearing in their respective trainings. But to have most of them not even appearing at all? This should be borderline illegal.
