This is a good video about the changes with Iroh

The title and opening seem more negative, but it ends up being a pretty neutral video about how the 2 diverge that I actually reccomend! Most of the comments were more negative so I figured I could share here while giving context for the video. It almost felt like they used the negativity bias of the algorithm to trojan horse a neutral video

It would be incredibly easy to make ST content

Whenever discusses the fact Disney should do more ST content to help that era more, I see this sentiment pop up. That the ST uses the same 'rebel vs empire' idea of the OT, so you can't do interesting stories there. Or atleast nothing you can't do with the OT era.

I find this idea rather silly. Yes, loosely the conflict is the same, but there are very different context. In OT stuff the Empire has been around for decades and this culture influences the story and characters heavily.

In something post-TFA it would have more of this 'post apocalyptic' vibe if you play your cards right. Where there was this large and mostly stable society before all of a sudden a big event occured and society collapsed, with a legion of authoritarians invading to spread their will. That post-apocalyptic vibe is something you can totally do cool stories with.

It is also confirmed within the Rise Of Skywalker itself that even at its strongest the First Order had not solidified control of the Galaxy and truly restored the Galactic Empire. This is something used in things like the Kylo Ren comics, showing the First Order still needing to invade and fight planets to gain control post-TLJ. That also gives a very different context, showing the First Order needing to be more proactive then the Empire had to be and giving plenty of chances for worlds or factions that oppose the First Order.

And this is all stuff for the post-Force Awakens. If you want ST-era stuff you don't even need that. Just look at the OT, a lot of the content for that era takes place before A New Hope. This includes the most popular thing Star Wars has had recently, Andor.

The pre-Force Awakens world can easily be used for some cool stories. There being a horrific space dictatorship scheming to seize control of the galaxy, with the governing force of the Galaxy being largely complacent but with many people on the inside who know the threat the First Order faces and secretly supply help to a resistance fighting them. That can easily be used for some really cool espionage stories.

And as much as Rise Of Skywalker is obviously not a good movie, it did introduce concepts you can also use. The Sith Eternal have a great creepy aesthetic and the idea of an ancient death cult plotting to return and claim the Galaxy, with a ton of cool mad science stuff? That can be used for some cool stuff.

My point is, I dislike the notion this era has nothing to expand upon. You just need some imagination to do good stuff with this era.

Fredbear's Singing Show being old does not mean FE is

https://preview.redd.it/wpuzfo5d707h1.png?width=2048&format=png&auto=webp&s=881723e3c1502746c5991bd38a2ad3f924823129

So, Fredbear's Singing Show is widely believed to be pretty old, around early 20th century. And many think that means Fazbear Entertainment must also be really old since Fazbear Entertainment owned the Singing Show by the time they send the disc to MCM.

But this is not actually the case. The songs on the disc are specifically called 'Kid's Classics', which indicates Fredbear's Singing Show is already quite old by the time they send this over to MCM.

I think Fredbear's Singing Show was a family buisness either William or Henry inherited, and 'Fazbear Entertainment' was a company they created once they partnered with the other, and began to expand it. They continued to run FSS while planning their own thing with the diner.

I wish people could have been normal about the FNAF movies

Seriously back when movie 2 came out, and to an extent even now, it felt like there was an actual war and I felt like both sides got downright insane.

I want to say, I enjoyed the movie. Both of them. I think they have flaws but are overall good and have lots of fun. But I can see why someone would consider it bad.

But Jesus something about this movie just made everyone go berserk. Some people were saying this was one of the worst movies ever, or even of that year, or was some kind of abomination to cinema, while some of the filmakers and defenders went crazy with the silly 'for the fans' stuff.

I don't think the movies are anywhere near good or bad enough to warrant the crazy ass war XD.

And what's worse is that the 'for the fans' stuff has kind of dominated the discourse around the film so people just kind of run with it even if they don't like it. Which leads to the weird claims like how the sequel is full of too many callbacks and requires you to be a huge fan to know the plot. Which is like, hilariously not true as someone who does know the game lore. Most of the movie's plot is entirely original to the film and nothing really requires game knowledge other than, Circus Baby. I could maybe see it applying to the first film to an extent but def not the second. And that is not to say the movie does not have plot holes or contrivances just that they will not make any more sense if you are a game fan XD.

I just think everything about the movie was way overblown, people acted like it was some kind of horrible travesty or came up with weird and crazy defenses.

This is how theorizing about SOTM feels sometimes

There are a couple other points I could mention like the environmental storytelling further backing up that Edwin never made stuff with the second major change mentioned. But I figured it would be better to keep it consise for the meme format XD.

A lot of people it just felt like the zeroed in on 'Edwin was a contractor' rather then anything else the game said.

There is a big Freddy head in Secret Of The Mimic

https://preview.redd.it/8su123tchlyg1.png?width=184&format=png&auto=webp&s=28055a59cfcae6b0a5139fc44c57dd8c38fa2cd8

This has confused some people, some people kind of assumed it was meant to be the same as the head under the pizzaplex, but I don't think that holds up since that head clearly had eyes. I also think its probably a Glamrock Freddy.

https://preview.redd.it/hj8ji36ohlyg1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=30ffc233b83bbed27fdc38b32c43b1679ffa6a01

Hell when uou look closer you can see itss attatched to a body.

Now, what is the true nature of the head? I think its actually a tie-in to Help Wanted.

https://preview.redd.it/fd0bwfchilyg1.png?width=732&format=png&auto=webp&s=828d3ca0d02c8a08da2d7e4efb4d4a30831b0b76

In Help Wanted, we see they had a big Freddy Statue. A lot of people, like myself, thought this was just Freddy looking out a window. But when you look at the building more you can see its a statue. Its a nod to a real thing Chuck E Cheese had. Right down to being behind glass.

https://preview.redd.it/4qovldfxilyg1.png?width=620&format=png&auto=webp&s=4a3dded005ede931be5fa0812ccf12bda26cf307

So that explains the head, I think. Its a prototype for the Freddy statue that would be outside the building.

It does tie in to the head under the Pizzaplex in a more indirect way, as that's probably also from a more complete Freddy statue, just a different one.
