[Discussion] 10 Weeks to Rootbound!

The Caption was: “This sounds 100% above-board, yep! Nothing suspicious here.”

And the tags said: “#somewhere the kill bill sirens start playing” <— does anyone know that this means??😭

Okay so I’m probably dumb… that says “Teophine” right? A name meaning “manifestation of God” and she appears to be the one wearing the constellation robe described in week 11.

- The princess’s name is “Verette” and she will be younger than Rapunzel presumably.

- The other kingdom’s kings name is “Enver” meaning "luminous," "radiant," "bright," or "brighter". So staying on theme.

- I had thought the premise would be that the king and queen would be unavailable to go but it appears Rapunzel was being called out deliberately.

The intrigue! I’m so excited 😊

[Discussion] Rootbound Quotes!

Couple things of note here:

- The book is going to have Rapunzel adjusting to not having her long hair anymore, poor girl 😭

- “Minister Cressian” sounds very “Chris/Christ” coded but also sounds like “Crescent” which could be an allusion to the moon. The kingdom already has a star-themed name, so the this seems to play into that. And they seem to have a semi-antagonistic or at least not super familiar relationship.

- I love the idea that Rapunzel talks to herself as a stress response from her long-term isolation. Very fitting. I wish the show had done more stuff like this!

- Someone is giving someone the business about diplomacy likely this “Minister Cressian” person to Rapunzel or Eugene. And i love it. I hope we get to see them be out of their depth in situation like this where neither of them have any experience whatsoever and it MATTERS to the plot gosh-darn it!

- Someone had a constellation themed robe. Still more star symbology. (Also, isn’t there a Vat7K character like that???)

- Astera, very stellar, very good thematically. And I like the idea of Rapunzel having a very limited worldview due to her upbringing but speaking to understand the would though the limited window of her hobbies/interests.

What do you guys think? Any ideas predictions about what the plot is going to be?

[Discussion] Do you wish the series had Rapunzel and Eugene having big passionate arguments? Or do you Iike how the series always kept them subdued and tender?
