Trouble sleeping from Nyquil Panic Attack

So recently I have been under the weather with a cold that started last Thursday. I decided to buy some Nyquil over the weekend thinking it would help me. The first two nights I took it everything was fine, then the third night I was startled awake feeling restless, wobbly, and that drunk feeling that put me into a panic. I was awake until 4 am and slept maybe 3 hours. This was Monday night going into Tuesday morning. It has been 3 days now and since that panic attack and it feels like my brain associate bedtime with danger. Now instead of the medicine being the problem, the fear of repeating that experience is keeping my nervous system on high alert at night. I just feel like now a loop is created where anxiety itself keeps me awake. It seems like maybe I can get an hour of sleep in maybe.

I would love to hear people's thoughts or suggestions from this sub on what I could do to overcome this. Thank you!
