I made it to 1453! Took me weeks of my life to get here. It was so much fun! Here are some shots of the end.
I was sad when the reign of Maria Joao Thumbalina and her dynasty finally came to an end. Her memory will last forever in the multiverse!
This game has taken WEEKS out of my life. I’m going for the full 867-1453 and oh man … this just keeps on going.
Some of the highlights have been making my largest realm ever and going way into Asia. It is fun role playing as the empresses and I have to say, I enjoy being the queen way more than being a king.
I’ve finally learned how to play Stewardship, so sometimes I make over $1,000 gold per month. Another thing is I’m the head of faith with Communion so I get an ongoing stream of indulgences.
I learned how to change the culture to Greek across the map by educating my vassals’ children. That’s made a huge difference! And my Canterburian Faith is the only Christian religion left. It’s funny that the pope is gone but the Orthodox Patriarchy is still my vassal, though he has no church members.
I don’t have any DLC’s but would like to get Royal Courts next time.

This is my third Roman Empire run. I started in 867 as an Irish count and after I reclaimed Britannia, I headed south. I married a Byzantine princess and got a claim on the empire for my son, then invaded and took over the empire. Centuries later, I restored the Roman Empire.
I’m Greek now but everyone still speaks the ancient Goidelic language of my great great great grandfather.
Then the Mongols came. I never faced them before, but everyone here says they are scary and unstoppable. So I just invaded them first! I easily sacked lots of cities and made them my tribute. Then I made the Great Khan convert to my religion!
Yes, Rome is pink. Empress Maria Joao III loves pink and I can’t argue with her.
I finally learned a little about stewardship and am making lots of money! I’m making 200 gold/month from my realm and the rest from vassals.
Now I need to head to China to see why everyone is driving electric cars on the Silk Road these days.
