MacBook m3 pro

I found a November 2023 MacBook m3 pro 36 gb ram 1tb SSD 16 inch for $1500 (was asking $1650 but I got him down), is that a good buy? The cycle count is low and the guy bought it new and used it for music production exclusively

MacBook m3 pro question

I’m trying to get a MacBook Pro and have a limited budget, I found a November 2023 M3 pro 18gb ram with 512gb ssd for $1450 on marketplace, it’s in good shape from the description and pictures. For context I’ve been making music on a 2017 intel MacBook Pro with 512 gb and I have never had a storage issue (I use a couple UAD plugins but that’s it). Would this one be a good purchase for me?

New MacBook?

I am currently in the market for a new MacBook (I want a MacBook specifically because I like to be able to move and collaborate with people, and I also like Logic Pro for my DAW). I have been using a 2017 MacBook Pro and it is on its last legs. I would like a computer that will realistically last me about 7-8 more years, but man are they expensive. Would it be best to just bite the bullet on the newest one and call it good, or should I go with an older model? I don’t need a huge screen, and when I make music I will be working long hours and using UAD plugins, so I need a pro for the fan cooling

Hofner ignition?

So my main instrument is Electric Guitar, however, I do record my music and play Bass on that. I have an Ibanez sound gear sr500, and while it does sound good, I personally find it to be really long hard to play sometimes.
There is a Hofner ignition with a hardshell case for $350 on marketplace in my hometown would it be a good buy for me? I’ve been watching a lot of reviews and listening to them and I do quite like the sound, after all the Beatles are one of my favorite band, and I know that that’s a big part of this instruments legacy

Trying to decide what I want from the sale

I am planning on getting the bundle that is $80 and comes with 6 plugins (advertised as buy 3 get 3 free). For comedy I make indie/alternative rock music (probably most in line with Fishmans, tame impala, Weezer, and mgmt, though I wouldn’t describe myself as nearly as good as those guys). I have a buddy who wen to college for music production, and has all the plugins for eq, compression, and most of the reverbs, and so I would rather take my songs to him for final mixes and masters. With all of that said, I’m trying to decide what exactly to get, I’m for sure getting

- Electra 88
- Ravel
- Waterfall B3
- SSL 4000 e channel strip

Since I have a lot of keyboard elements in my songs. I have an arturia mini freak synth so I don’t really want something like the opal or minimoog. Additionally, I feel like it would be a good move to have the SSL so I can learn it better and have better mixes come from myself. I don’t really know what else I should grab, I already have guitar amp sims, and since I don’t have an Apollo interface I am limited on only getting native plugins. I have contemplated the waterfall rotary speaker, but idk how much I would use it (mainly for guitar and for my farfisa organ).

My board as of now

Current state of my pedalboard I use for all sorts of genres (I release indie/alternative rock but I also play at my church). The chain is a little off simply because I order my pedals based on how my feet interact with them, but the order is

Guitar (Yamaha P90 Revstar)
Polytune 3
Blues driver (bd-2w)
Kilt & red remote
Go rocky go (my favorite drive pedal ever)
Dunlop volume
Monument tremolo
Julianna chorus (this is what turns my signal stereo)
Hologram chroma console
DD-500
Strymon BlueSky
ACS1
Stereo canvas

If I’m not running my sims then I go into a 65’ deluxe reverb on the left and AC15 on the right

Gift for my niece

So I have a sears typewriter that I love dearly and my niece always comes over and asks to see it/type on it. She is turning 7 on Wednesday and for her birthday I wanted to get her a typewriter since she loves mine so much and is learning how to type and spell now. Is this a good buy for $50 on marketplace? The guy says he hasn’t tested it, nothing strikes me as being real off but I could be wrong, are these relatively easy to fix assuming I have a set of hand tools and patience? I ordered a new ribbon online because those typically dry out over time
