Moving to Washington

Hi Everyone!

We are planning to move to Washington from across the country. Please share your recommendations for any tips we need to know, or what you wish you knew before your move that would have made things easier for you.

Right now, we are in the process of saving for the move. How much did you save for your move?

We have not put our house on the market yet and will need to do so before the move.

We will need to look for houses there. I toured the neighborhoods/ town of Lacey, Tumwater, Olympia, Puyallup, and Yelm.

How much did you save for the moving truck, pods, etc., or things that most people don't know before or during the big move that we need to know or save up for?

Is it actually possible to sell your house and find one before the move ?

Do You need to put your stuff in storage and then move into an apartment (in a different state) while you look for a house? What did people usually do?

what did you do for your big move to a different state?

Thanks for your help?

What is it like to live in Lacey, Washington?

I am planning to visit Lacey, Washington soon to see if my family and I would like to live there. Anyone who has lived there, please share what it is like to live there. What are the schools like, fun things to do, cool restaurants, best neighborhoods for families, daily life, etc.?

Where should I visit when I am there checking it out?

Thanks!

Brookings & Florence Oregon Daily life !

What is it like living in Florence, Oregon, and Brookings, Oregon? Please share what the job market is like, the schools, the fun activities available, and how far away they are from the bigger cities. We are thinking about moving there with our family.

We like nature parks, family activities, going out to restaurants, and going to a bigger city for fun on the weekends. What is it really like living in these two cities?

Also, we have a dog :) .
