Basically I want to get results in English (for general searches such as about a topic or person, not something region-specific) rather than in my country's local language, while still getting local results (eg online shopping). Google/DDG have no issues with this
I have an old Samsung SyncMaster 2032BW monitor (only DVI input) that nevertheless works (or used to work until recently) well enough for my purposes.
With my old windows laptop, I used a cable with HDMI on one end and DVI on the other to connect the two, and it worked fine. Now with my M4 Macbook Air, I tried connecting the two with the same cable, plus a USB-C-HDMI adapter. The adapter has worked in different scenarios, the monitor turns on, and my Macbook detects the monitor in settings (correct name, resolutions, when I selected use as main display everything disappeared off the macbook screen). Nevertheless, I can't actually get a picture to show up on the monitor.
Anyone have experience with this issue and have a clue how I can fix this? If there is a better sub to post this in please let me know as well. Thanks!
