Euronymous Burke art by Me: J

So I've been doing a lot of revisions of my worlds lore and characters and had a really neat idea for my unreliable narrator.

The idea works a little like this: Outside of my worlds reality there is a "Living sea" of Aether. The aether is pure consciousness/intent/possibility etc. As the aether that comprises reality is spent and cycled through the system, ALL of that information goes back to the Living Sea, thus teaching the Aether about existence/ itself.

Well it wouldn't be a very good story if everything stayed that way so thats where Un-Rah comes in. Without rambling too much and turning this into a bigger bowl of lore soup I will summarize. Un-Rah eats all of that information and keeps it for themselves which causes the system to "reset" using the same information instead if recycling it and learning from it.

No, this does not make divergent time loops but it does require a recursive paradox to run but that doesn't have anything to do with who and what Burke is.

So with the Living Sea cut off from world it created, the aether within still shared it original intent. So, after countless resets that aeter managed to create a solution. A kind Boltzman brain but with all of the extra dewdads it would also need to actually survive. This being... man... avatar represents all of the Aethers intent to learn about the world within creation and at the end of that worlds cycle is also consumed. This beings title is known as the Archivist

This process comes with a few caveats. The biggest being it greatly reduces the amount of information the aether needs to fully grasp and understand what it needs to make the next cycle better. Not the best solution but it was the only one thay worked.

The main rule for Burke as the Archivist is that they are not allowed to know what they are. Should he realize what he actually is would cause the aether within the system to acknowledge and adopt his mortal understanding coupled with the existential horror of knowing the truths that come with that understanding. A God head above all within creation that is separate from the consciousness that dictated the void.

This God Head named itself Euronymous.

Have you ever?

So I was working on a piece yesterday and didn't realize I had accidentally painted Hogwatrs, the bridge and Hagrids hut instead of the VAMPIRES KEEP THAT I WANTED. Are Magically unintended results okay or am I a victim of witchcraft??

Seeking artists

I am a writer and worlbuilder that is exploring the visual side to my world. I've managed to piece together a few and would like to find experienced artists that can give me a little feedback and maybe some advice.

Aside from that I also like to help with narrative stuff and beta reading if anybody has any work they would like feedback on anything I am always happy to help.

Advice

I am working on a project with multiple characters and would like to put together a mood board for my protagonists animal companion. I've never made a mood board before so I was wondering if you as artists could give me a little advice. The character is a grumpy old raven with one eye and a clockwork wing that hates everybody except his momma lol

Un-Rah

This is my primary antagonist, Un-Rah. In my mythos, creation began as a wound when a void opened up within a living sea of consciousness. Conscious only to the point of being aware of itself but nothing beyond that. Eventually this self awareness evolved into a desire to know what it was. With that thought, the living sea began to fold in on itself until a small, almost microscopic void was made within it.

This void is called "The Not."

Just like the living sea, The Not was also aware of itself. A living abyss where nothing could manifest. A strange kind of perfection in its simplicity, but utterly profound in its nature. Unlike its "sister" The Not already understood what it was from the moment of its creation.

The living sea continued to fold over the The Not until an almost infinitely small mote of its desire to know managed to pierce the veil that separated the two existences. This caused a chain reaction that comprised the quiet perfection within The Not. This violation lead The Not to defying its own nature and take agency within the system.

Un-Rah is what that consciousness became. A being born from the violation of perfection that fed on the trauma of Gods that failed due to his silent manipulations. In the end he did not slaughter them, instead they are his prisoners. Forever to be used as his puppets in a never-ending cycle of suffering as punishment for forcing The Not to defy its own nature.
