Apologies if this has been asked before but if I enroll with a new company do I have to directly cancel the old one?

So I'm coming up on one year in texas and have direct energy at the moment. They want to offer me a new plan at 14.1 cents per kwh average.

If i call them up and say other companies are offering rates around 11.9, would they match that?

Are Texas energy companies known for matching rates at all?

Kind of looking for a new place to live. I've been looking at woodhaven online and a few of the condos there are priced below 100k. However most of them have sat on the market for over 200 days and another one over a year it's been on market.

Can anyone please tell me more about the area I've heard about things like the stop 6 area and not to go out after dark, etc

Yes I know the break rooms, bathrooms and manager offices already do. So I'm not talking about those.

So the lack of A/C complaints are already starting. One guy I talk to was saying that a station down the street from us has A/C while our facility does not and why our facility can't get it.

To be more specific I work at the facility on Village Creek Road in Fort Worth Texas.

And that the station down the street on Oak Grove has air conditioning throughout but I'm unsure how true that is. Also in Fort Worth TX

Does anyone here work at either location or know about the Oak Grove location to comment?

I'm currently a Facer in the mezz upstairs and the heat is already starting to add up.
