Tax prepared messed up my return and now he wants to pay for it

I have an important question and can’t afford a lawyer. I got this tax preparer as a recommendation from a friend did my taxes 2024 all good. I am new in the country so it was my first time doing them. I have no clue. I trusted all on him. Turns out i get a mail from the irs auditing me because it says something along the lines of “i have a company and it says I haven’t paid my employees” so I owe the irs too much money + interests. I dont have that money. Since that letter I have tried numerous times contacting this tax guy with no luck at all, responded once saying he will call but never did. Waited long i had specific time to respond to the letter. Since he did not reach out or replied to my messages and call. I replied the mail with something like “I am requesting more time to figure out paperwork, I did not prepared my taxes” etc etc. and then last night I filed the form “14157” return preparer complaint since i read that was the best outcome to hopefully at least get the pentalties taken off. I know i have to pay. today all of a sudden he calls saying don’t get a lawyer; I will pay you the money. I didn’t say anything. But I Already filed the form but I really need that money to pay for part of it at least. His way of payment was him taking a good chunk of my return. This is my lesson and now I know its a bad thing. What do I do know

AITA? I know we were wrong

Tonight my husband and I went to the movies to watch obsession. I was so excited and waited for today. It was a packed theater! This theater is in an area where there are lots of kids so naturally the crowd and the workers were so to. we are in our late 20s, movie lovers, respectful and hate being an inconvenience to others. Specially when it comes to movies, concerts and overall living. We are very aware of our surroundings and specially the cost of things nowadays. Movies seems to be a luxury, so we go. Three people one male two females sit next to us, male next to me kept talking over the movie really loudly like trying to be funny basically, funny to their friends and whoever can hear. By the time it got so loud I asked him politely to speak in a lower tone he said “oh ok” and kept raising his tone as the movie went on. It got really bad. Talking over and over the movie, commenting at the end of every line, i wish I was exaggerating. My husband now heard him and politely asked him the same he literally did the praying signal with his hands”, kid got up and we continued watching, then he comes back with a guy, who approached me not asking but accusing me and I quote: “you two are causing problems and saying things to them” I am not kidding when I say I had to try to look at his uniform and his face because I thought the guy brought a friend to say this to us, I was so confused but he was a manager! I got up and said “i am not having a conversation in the middle of a movie” i came down and upstairs the male got confrontational to my husband and the manager too. It got to bad my husband lost his temper and threw the little bit of popcorn we had left at the kid (not the manager) when they came downstairs manager said he cannot discuss what the kid said about us because it is “confidential” we asked for another manager and first thing my husband did was apologize about the popcorn situation and how that was totally wrong. I think, these people will learn hopefully, that this time it was popcorn but there are crazier people out there, I feel like art places like movie theaters should hire people that are just as passionate and pay accordingly!Am I the asshole for thinking what my husband did was totally wrong but still be on his side… I would never do anything like that and i am surprised he lost his temper that way too and he was too! I think it has gotten to the point where theater etiquette has gotten terrible bad and movie lovers would not go anymore. We have been in the movie club for years and years and now thinking of canceling it.. i am very sad, confused and disappointed.
