My girl is 18 months old now and her puppyhood was brutal. So. Many. Thing. Destroyed.

I watch her closely and she stays primarily in the kitchen family room area. She hates the crate, so I’m tempted to let her free range in the house at night.

But I’m worried basenji boredom might hit her and she might destroy something or get hurt.

So, my question above. And, if you do let them free range, how did you know they were ready?

EDIT: Thanks for the insights and great stories! I read every one and appreciated the time you took. I think I’ll keeps her with me in the bedroom and then crated when I leave during the day. She’s a good girl but I want her to succeed.

I don’t go to the mall often but I noticed a lot of shops were gone and Macy’s looked like it was on its last legs. Is the whole thing going under?

My first question to the brain trust here. It’s about the digital key. I don’t see the digital key option in the Controls tab in the myCadillac app. I’ve rebooted the phone. I’ve deinstalled the app and reinstalled it. I have OnStar one. What am I missing?

I love this car. I hadn’t been considering a Cadillac but fell in love with the Optiq Lux in blue and they offered a two year lease.

It’s gorgeous and such fun to drive. I feel like a kid again. The CarPlay thing sucks but I’ll figure out something.

Haven’t even gotten into BlueCruise or the regen braking yet.

Looking at a 1st edition for $64,000. Know the new one is coming. Should I wait?

New owner, quick question. Is it reasonable to think you could train a basenji not to climb to the top of the couch and leap from couch to chair, etc? Or jump on guests?

There’s no wrong answer. I just want know what I can move the needle on and what is just simply a basenji.
