My wife’s clock broke after 20 years

My wife’s relative brought her this clock back from WDW around 20 years ago. It stopped working this summer and my wife is pretty gutted.

Coincidentally, we’re going to Walt Disney World this October. I’ve never been and she hasn’t been to since the early 2000’s.

I’m debating trying to repair it vs treating her to a replacement while we’re there. Am I likely to find something similar?

Travelling to KSC from Orlando

We’ll be visiting Florida for Universal/Disney from the U.K. in late October and I’d like to plan a trip the Kennedy Space Center for a day while we’re that side of the pond.

Can anyone give any advice on travelling from Orlando to KSC? Ideally via public transport but we could uber or hire a car if that’s the best option.

Megathread: It’s hot! Part 2

Melting already 🫠

Supposedly the heat is going to peak today and we’ll get some respite at the weekend. Hopefully it will still be warm enough to have the paddling pool out though.

How are we all coping? Have the kids made it to school? Our school has been quite creative in keeping the kids cool.

Megathread: It’s hot!

It’s barely 8am and it’s already roasting, so here is a thread for all weather related discussions for the next couple of days.

Have a moan, share tips, whatever you need to do to survive really.

Father’s Day next Sunday (21st June) What have you planned?

Feels like it’s crept up on me this year. Someone should really should make an app where you can add special events and it gives you a reminder a week or two before…

So what have you planned to show appreciation to the father figure in your kids lives?

Are there any specific episodes of kids TV you struggle to watch?

…but not because they’re annoying!

After a busy morning we were having a chilled hour on the sofa watching Bluey when “Onesies” came on. I’ve seen it before but it still had me sobbing.

We’re one and done but not through choice. So the thought of poor Brandy not being able to have even one, despite really wanting to, just really bothers me. I just can’t watch that episode without getting emotional. The thought that we could have been in that position, without our beautiful child…

Anyway, please make me feel less ridiculous. Are there any episodes of your kids favourite show you struggle to watch?
