AirPod 3 pros Hearing aid feature - Does it work?

Hey everyone,

I’m 18 and was diagnosed with menieres a few months ago. My hearing fluctuates daily. Sometimes I cant hear a thing, sometimes I can hear almost perfectly fine.

All this to say, Ive been told by my specialist that I should consider hearing aids. Now let’s be honest, no 18 year old wants hearing aids…so I want to try some alternatives first.

Has anyone tried using AirPod 3 pros as a hearing aid / hearing assistant? If you have, do you feel like they help?

If anyone has any other alternative ideas for hearing aids, please let me know as I would like to avoid hearing aids until I’m older if possible.

18yo asking for advice

Hey everyone, for about 8 months I’ve been dealing with lots of hearing loss, fullness of the ear, and constant ringing. About 3 months ago I started to get extremely bad vertigo. Each session lasts about 6-8 hours. During my worst episodes I throw up uncontrollably and fall over if I stand up, or even sit in a chair. I have to stay in bed and just wait for it to end.

After TONS of tests, medical scans, and multiple doctors I was finally referred to the top specialist in my state. He ran some tests, ordered some scans, and eventually gave me the official diagnosis of Ménière’s disease.

After trying a number of steroid injections into my ear drum, some oral steroids and many different medications with little to no results, he is recommending that I get an endolymphatic sack decompression surgery. This surgery helps mainly with vertigo by releasing the pressure in your ear. I was wondering if anyone here has had this procedure done, and if they have seen any results?

I’m to the point where I will try anything. I just want some relief. It’s effecting my physical and mental health. I’m always anxious to leave the house for extended periods of time because I don’t want to get vertigo while I’m out.

I’ve had to use a lot of PTO at my job for different appointments and days where I have vertigo, and it’s getting to the point where I’m considering filing for intermittent leave.

Any advice regarding this surgery, how to handle Ménière’s disease while working full time, or advice about the disease in general would be appreciated.

Beginner here - is this a good starter set?

Hey Everybody!

I just went golfing for the first time with a friend a few days ago and really enjoyed it! I ended up going to driving range with him a couple of times too and loved that as well.

I don’t have a set of clubs to call my own, so I was just borrowing my friends during these outings. I’ve come to realize that I really enjoy golf and could see myself playing it often!

All that being said, I’m looking to buy my first set of clubs. I don’t need anything fancy, and I don’t need anything too expensive. Like I said, I am a very new beginner, so I also don’t need anything that’s pro level.

I went to Dicks sporting goods today and found this set of clubs for $300! What are y’all’s thoughts on this set for a beginner?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
