Sinoceratops seen bathing in river near Chongqing

A pair of green-morph Sinoceratops are seen here enjoying some time in the Yangtze river. This is the first confirmation of wild dinosaurs inside Chinese borders. The Dinosaur Integration Network has responded to this sighting by confirming that these are not escapees from Titan Sanctuary in nearby Sichuan Province, but they are willing to take custody and that the Sanctuary's owner is willing to house them there. The Chinese government has not publicly acknowledged the situation and with this being an unprecedented occurance, it is difficult to say whether they will allow these dinosaurs to live.

Although in my opinion, the real questions to be asked are these; Where did this pair of Sinoceratops come from? And are there more of them out there? Only time will tell.

Are the DFW covering up a theft of eggs?

On June 3rd of this year, the US Department of Fish and Wildlife responded to a report of a dinosaur nesting site in Wyoming County, West Virginia. After setting traps around the site, three adult Velociraptors were captured and moved to DIN's Montana facility, while the eggs, 8 in total, were taken to the DFW's recently constructed Appalachia Dinosaur Veterinary Center to be incubated until hatching, before they were to be transferred to DIN custody.

This is not new information. It was well reported in and around the state of West Virginia. What is new, is that on July 22nd, thieves broke into the ADVC and stole all eight eggs. The police have said nothing about this. The DFW have said nothing about this. DIN has said nothing about this. Why?

There are now over half-a-dozen missing highly intelligent man-eaters that could be anywhere by now. InGen once claimed that Velociraptors are capable of killing before their first year, and we don't know how close those eggs are to hatching. Why have we heard nothing about this? When I approached the DFW to ask questions, I was removed from the premises and warned by the police not to return; the same police who also refused to answer any questions mind you, and DIN refused to even acknowledge me.

The fact the someone stole dinosaur eggs doesn't surprise me, after Biosyn and the DPW were revealed to be involved in a dinosaur black market, the poaching of dinosaurs shouldn't surprise you either. The fact that nobody will even admit this incident has occurred does surprise me. And it should greatly worry you.

Can anyone identify this Terrapin? [UK]

I was at the British Wildlife Centre today and saw this turtle, but the sign only identified it as an invasive terrapin. Can anyone tell me what it is specifically? Thanks.

EDIT: There are several invasive turtle species in the UK so I couldn't figure it out with Google.

Diet of Parvavis chuxiongensis

Does anyone have any idea what P. chuxiongensis ate? Enantiornithes contains granivores, piscivores, carnivores, and insectivores. Do we have any theories as to which, if any of these can be applied to Parvavis?

As an aside, when looking for an answer Google helpfully informed me that like all sauropsids, Parvavis was a carnivore. Thanks Google! Super helpful.

What dinosaurs lived in Gyrosphere Valley?

Supposedly there were a minimum of thirty different species housed within Jurassic World's Gyrosphere Valley, but we have very little information on what those animals were. We know a small number that were present but the vast majority are unknown.

Confirmed

  1. Ankylosaurus
  2. Apatosaurus
  3. Brachiosaurus
  4. Gallimimus
  5. Parasaurolophus
  6. Sinoceratops
  7. Stegosaurus
  8. Triceratops

That leaves us with twenty-two unaccounted for species. The following are all possible but what other dinosaurs could've been there?

  1. Aquilops
  2. Corythosaurus
  3. Dreadnoughtus
  4. Edmontosaurus
  5. Euoplocephalus
  6. Hadrosaurus
  7. Lesothosaurus
  8. Maiasaura
  9. Mamenchisaurus
  10. Microceratus
  11. Ouranosaurus
  12. Pachycephalosaurus
  13. Pachyrhinosaurus
  14. Peloroplites
  15. Stygimoloch
  16. Styracosaurus

Even assuming that every dinosaur I've suggested is correct (which is unlikely), we are still left with six more possible animals. Does anyone have any suggestions?

New Campaign

Gatherers return to Sorna - Set shortly after The Lost World: Jurassic Park, join Ian Malcolm, Sarah Harding, and Nick Van Owen as they return to Isla Sorna so they can finish John Hammond's mission. Immunise the wild population against diseases, photograph behaviours, and ensure their long-term survival.

Curate three wild ecosystems on Isla Sorna and ensure no species goes extinct. Make sure enough wild herbivores can reproduce to prevent them from being hunted to extinction by hungry carnivores, whilst also allowing for enough carnivores to make up for losses to failed hunts against dangerous prey.

Maintain the massive aviary on Isla Sorna's river to prevent dangerous pterosaurs from escaping the island and potentially reaching the mainland.

New Mechanics

  1. Wild Dinosaurs - In the interest of non-interference, interactions with wild dinosaurs is limited, and they become uncomfortable when observed. Rather than being synthesised, wild dinosaurs will wander onto the playable space periodically.
  2. Non-gendered Skins - Non-standard skins like Ankylosaurus 2001 and Pyroraptor 2022 will be available for both genders.
  3. Juvenile Skins - Non-standard skins will be visible on juvenile dinosaurs.
  4. Synthesising Juveniles - Juvenile dinosaurs can be synthesised at hatcheries in sandbox, allowing specific skins, patterns, traits, and genders to be chosen.
  5. Embryonic Modification - Eggs in nests can be modified to have specific skins and traits.
  6. Aviary Nests Anywhere - Aviary nests can now be placed outside of the aviary to better foster wild ecosystems.
  7. Pack Hunting of Humans - Returning from Jurassic World Evolution 2, small carnivores are able to pack hunt humans. This affects Compsognathus, Moros intrepidus, and Procompsognathus.

New Buildings

  1. Wilderness Research Building Style - Tent based designs for structures such as the Response Facility and Control Centre.
  2. Aviary Walkway - Inspired by Jurassic Park III's bird cage, this is a structure that snaps on top of an aviary and allows walkways to be built inside. Available in Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, Europe (Malta), and InGen styles (InGen style attaches to the side rather than on top).
  3. Boat Tour - A deep water tour based on Jurassic Park III's iconic riverboat scene. This operates similarly to the Cretaceous Cruise.
  4. High Hide - A hidden viewing gallery that cannot be seen by wild dinosaurs and requires no pathway connection.

New Maps

  1. Isla Sorna Game Trail - An open plain where wild herbivores graze and carnivores hunt.
  2. Isla Sorna Redwood Forest - A dense forest full of breeding dinosaurs.
  3. Isla Sorna River - A long, winding river with a massive aviary dome full of pterosaurs.

New Dig Sites

  1. Bone Cabin Quarry, Wyoming, U.S.A
  2. Laguna Colorada Formation, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina
  3. Löwenstein Formation, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
  4. Tar Heel/Coachman Formation, North Carolina, U.S.A
  5. Woodbury Formation, New Jersey, U.S.A

(MAJOR SPOILER TROPE) Character gets sniped mid-sentence.

A character is in the middle of saying something when suddenly they are killed by an unseen snip

1. Kat-B320 - Halo Reach.

Kat is complaining about a bizarre mission objective when an enemy Sangheili Field Marshal fires his Needle Rifle through her skull.

2. Anthony Carmine - Gears of War.

Carmine is demonstrating his malfunctioning rifle to squad leader Minh Young Kim when a Locust Drone snipes him for moving out of cover.

Jurassic World Evolution 3: Palaeo-Accurate Species Pack

I've seen many people in this subreddit suggesting palaeo-accurate variants for some of our dinosaurs, but these could cause issues with juveniles regarding size and design. Instead I think these animals would serve as good substitutes.

  1. Dracovenator

  2. Giraffatitan

  3. Tsaagan

  4. Zhuchengtyrannus

This would also include a museum display themed scenery set.

A Question About Copyright Infringement Regarding Organism Names.

This applies to the UK and Norway.

I'm planning on creating software detailing various forms of animal life, however there are some animals named after licenced fictional characters. Would it be an issue to include such animals by name?

Examples include Cremnops wileycoyotius and Amblyrhynchus cristatus godzilla, named after characters owned by Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and Toho Co., Ltd. respectively.

Jurassic World Evolution 3: Lagoon Species Pack

Since we don't have a single new marine species in Jurassic World Evolution 3 I decided to create this hypothetical DLC to rectify that.

  1. Basilosaurus

  2. Eurhinosaurus

  3. Jaekelopterus

  4. Leedsichthys

  5. Seirocrinus

This would also include an Atlantis themed scenery set.

Jurassic World Evolution 3: Giant Arthropod Species Pack

This one is probably controversial but a bug house is something I'd really like to see.

  1. Arthropleura

  2. Giant Locust

  3. Meganeura

  4. Pulmonoscorpius

This would also include an Insect House building and carboniferous scenery pieces.

Jurassic World Evolution 3: Terrestrial Reptile Species Pack

Since all of our reptiles are either pterosaurs or marine I decided to pick some terrestrial reptiles to fix that.

  1. Deinosuchus
  2. Fasolasuchus
  3. Meiolania
  4. Scutosaurus

EDIT: I don't know why picture five looks like that. Sorry everyone.

My laptop won't run any disk drive properly.

My laptop (HP ProBook) will not recognise it's own disk drive, and doesn't reliably acknowledge external USB disk drives either.

The built-in drive doesn't even open without using the pinhole anymore. Using USB disk drives causes sporadic connectivity, the drive usually starts but it's a 50/50 as to whether it will stop immediately or keep working. Even if it does work, the program may not start until I unplug the drive, at which point it finally tries to run but too late.

I just want to play Zoo Tycoon! I've never even heard of this kind of issue.

Jurassic World Evolution 3: Japanese Species Pack

I realised that we don't have any Japanese animals despite having a level set in Katsuyama so I decided to mock-up a hypothetical DLC to rectify that.

  1. Fukuiraptor

  2. Hypnovenator

  3. Megapterygius

  4. Nipponopterus
