Ferris fire info

These are screenshots I took on the Watch Duty app. I'm currently between Lewis and Cahone, so I'm completely fine for now. This morning, the smoke was awful since it wasn't windy enough to blow it away. It's fine now. I would recommend not traveling through Cahone if you have issues with inhaling smoke, but otherwise, it's safe for now. The pictures I took on the road were examples of what Cahone looked like this morning. Though, it cleared up once I went back through it and hour ago.

Ferris Fire pics

Here's some more pictures taken of the Ferris fire. These photos were taken on the edge of the Yellow Jacket area. From where I'm at, there are several planes going towards it.

Ferris Fire

Here's the Ferris fire near Cahone in case anyone was curious what it looked like from a local perspective. A new zone has evacuated. Smells like smoke in nearly every building over here. A bit too much nature for me!

Resin overheated?

So today I made a batch of resin. It was the same brand I always use, brand new bottle. I didn't mix it more or less than usual, and I measured the same way I've always done it. Absolutely nothing has changed. Also, the room temperature was fine. The conditions were completely normal.

However, the resin mixture gradually got warmer until it was so hot that it burned to touch. I thought it was the heat from my hands at first, but it has never escalated this badly. Just touching the bottom of the cup hurt. It wasn't even in the sun! Within an hour, the mixture almost completely solidified. Mind you, this is regular epoxy resin, so this is extremely bizarre. It's supposed to take at least a full day.

Anyone have any ideas why this happened or even how to prevent it from getting worse? I've never been burned by resin. I didn't even think it was possible until today.

First gen Rav4

This one was imported from Japan. Yes, this means that the car manual is completely Japanese, so we don't use that. The speed is in kilometers, the wheel is on the right hand side, and so is the blinker. Sure, it desperately needs a new paint job to cover the small rust bits, and it isn't a fast car at all, but honestly? I think this is just my favorite car.

Rav4 1997

This one was imported from Japan! It is also a retired mail car, so it beeps whenever it backs up. Also, it is in kilometers, so I've already translated everything. It's certainly not a fast vehicle, and the paint needs to be redone desperately, but honestly? I think this is my favorite cat I've ever ridden in.

Hello! I thought I'd share my car since everyone else does the same. Mine isn't shiny or expensive, but I love this thing to bits. Also, it was imported from Japan. No idea how it got here, but I love it. I've already learned how to convert kilometers to miles, so no stress whatsoever when it comes to speed limits! This thing is NOT fast, if anyone was wondering. I have yet to find another person with this type of car. I believe it's a 1997 if I remember correctly. And yes, the car manual is completely in Japanese.
