SUG and Pell have dispensed. My refund is in my bank account. Now just waiting for them to release the loans and then the middle class scholarship in October.

Refund update
I spoke with student services or ash services or whatever this morning. I was told that my sug and pell have already been sent and the remainder after tuition is covered should be deposited this Thursday or Friday. Since i just completed my loan entrance counseling Friday, it could take a few more weeks to get my loans unless i can get financial aid office to push it through sooner. I was told that the middle class scholarship will be sent around October.
Hope this helps anyone in similar situation.

When do they actually release the refunds?
Does anyone know when we should receive our refunds? I see two dates of August 14th and 17th. Do they release them the 14th and it should take a few days after? Im a transfer and i know my community colleges has all kinds of dates that are literally NEVER followed lol so im asking based on you guys experience i guess.

WLAC DEEDEE FINANCIAL AIDE… horrific
Has anyone else had to deal with DeeDee in financial aid at West Los Angeles College? My experience was literally horrific with her. I had to get the Dean involved just for her to do her job. And the kicker is that i was right the entire time. It’s just no reason to be that nasty to students who are just trying to get help. Am i the only one???

Which is my actual grade is for Comm C1000?
This is comm c1000 for the spring which is over. In canvas it shows i have a D, which is scary cause i need this course for my transfer. But on my student record it says i have an A. It’s hard to really know because i did miss a few assignments but i did some good work but idk. I need to know if i need to do this class on cvc by august or not.

Summer Financial Aid Update (June 13)
• My account finally updated today, and my Promise Grant paid my enrollment fees.
• Summer 2026 is still part of the 2025–2026 financial aid year, not the 2026–2027 year.
• I already received my full Pell Grant award of $7,395 for 2025–2026.
• Many students don’t realize that some Pell recipients can qualify for up to 150% of their annual Pell award through Year-Round Pell.
• Because I qualified, I’m eligible for an additional $3,697 in Pell Grant funding for summer.
• That brings my total Pell Grant eligibility for the 2025–2026 year to about $11,092, and Pell Grant funds do not have to be repaid.
• I’m taking 14 summer units because I’ve been approved to transfer to a CSU this fall and needed to complete my remaining transfer requirements before enrollment.
• I was approved to exceed the normal summer unit limit so I could finish those requirements on time.
• I spoke with the financial aid office a few days ago. They couldn’t give an exact date, but they said that if everything looks correct, summer Pell funds should begin processing within the next 1–2 weeks.
• Since my fees were finally cleared today, I’m hoping that’s a sign that disbursements are getting closer.
Hopefully this helps anyone else waiting on summer financial aid or wondering how Year-Round Pell works.

Hey everyone, I’m in a specific spot with my aid at (LACCD) and want to see if anyone has been in this exact situation or has advice on the math.
I Already used 100% of my Pell ($7,395) for Fall/Spring.
What I think will happen (based on my research):
Year-Round Pell: Since I'm full-time (12 units)(with dean approval) this summer, I should get the "extra" 50% Pell (~$3,697). I would be expecting the first Pell disbursement in late June and the second half in July.
My Questions:
Has anyone at a LACCD school successfully gotten that Pell grant 150% money for summer after maxing out the standard?
Since I'm aiming for a Fall '27 transfer, does taking this much summer aid now mess with my eligibility for the 26-27 year?
Progress:
Finishing Spring 2026. I’ll have 60 credits done once grades post.
Summer Plan: Taking 12 units (full-time) starting June 15th.
Goal: Transferring to a Cal State (CSU) for Fall 2027 (aiming for those late admission windows).
3.4gpa
(Also I’m taking 17 credits now and it’s all online so it’s cool. 12 should be fine)( i know I’ll be over 70 credits, i can transfer up to 70)
