Not to be confused with Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, as Marcel “Marsnail” doesn’t wear shoes. I found him in my driveway after some rain and decided to make him a proper home. Based on my research he seems to be a common garden snail, maybe Mesodon or Neohelix? I love learning about new creatures and am doing my best to make him a comfortable habitat.
I recently started a garden on the side of my deck and plan to move his home base to a comfortable spot in there eventually so he can help take care of it and maybe raise a family 🥹 I’m keeping him nice and moist with plenty of hides and snacks and he seems to be thriving so far.
