How the FUCK do you use a brighness value for the alpha channel?

I have used Blender/Premiere before and its usually been quite an easy process, but there is no obvious way in Resolve and it's driving me crazy. Searching on the internet was kinda useless, cause all tutorials are just about magic mask. And no, I dont want to use an add Blend-Mode in this case.

I figured out you could add an alpha output at the end of the color page, but this kinda useless because i want to add some effects that rely on a working alpha channel (glow/blur fx).

I pretty much just want to do what the blender example shows, i dont really care if its fusion or Color-Page, but i want to add FX after the mask is applied. (Footage is different from image used, its just a quick example)

Example of how you could do it in blender

Is there a way to solo a Source?

I have a scene that contains assets depending on the current program (~Name of Presenter, Qr-Code etc, this scene is then used in other scenes).

So thats like 30 pngs in a scene, of which only 1 has to be visible at a time. Is there a way to solo a single source? I wasn't able to find a solution, which surprised me

How do you make a large set of graphics "dynamic"?

I plan on designing a playing card deck as a gift. That's 52 unique designs that have to work together. Is there a way to "derive" certain aspects from a master design, kind of like PowerPoints Slide Master or Components in HTML?

I feel it would make sense to have a template for the Suit/Number in the corners, which automatically updates all children when it changes. I also read that there are global colors, which already goes in the right direction.

Also, are there good options to organize a project in a folder structure? (Kind of like when working with code)

In the past I usually just edited my photos in a Video Editor, so forgive me if some of those questions are basic knowledge.

Are there any apps that implement a "Pro Video Mode", when your phone doesn't provide one in the native Camera App?

I'm currently rocking a Nothing Phone 3A. The camera is alright and it offers a Pro Photo Mode. However, there is nothing like a Pro Video Mode. I want to be able to control the ISO, Shutter Speed and White balance manually. Having features like 10bit/Log etc. would be nice, but is not the top priority.

Are there any open source Projects/Apps you know of that provide a Pro Video experience when the Company is too lazy to implement one?

Is there a way to add an Office Script to the ribbon?

I have an Excel with 2 Scripts (officeScript, not VBA) that automate some processes. The sheets can grow quite large, so plastering a button somewhere is not really a great solution. Especially because one of the scripts is taking the currently selected cell. I know there is the Scripts tab, but I want this to be intuitive for people opening the Workbook for the first time.

Can i add the scripts to the ribbon or have a button stick to the screen?

Is there a way to make hyperrefs place the anchor in the middle of the screen instead of the very top?

Example:

\phantomsection
\label{scMono}
\keys{CTRL + L + T} = \texttt{Monospaced} \par\phantomsection
\label{scMono}
\keys{CTRL + L + T} = \texttt{Monospaced} \par
[...]
\hyperref[scMono]{click here to jump to the shortcut}

This puts the shortcut at the very top which is really disorienting. Is there a way to center the ref instead?
